Often times the other guy he is out there with is forced to make up for his inability to cover in his own zone. Thankfully Finger has done an OK job at that.
I am hoping that once Skrastins, Leopold, or hell possibly Breazy get back that Liles will be given the bench. If healthy, Liles is a big plus, but right now he is nothing but a negative on the ice. He does not look comfortable on the ice.
He didn't play the last 7 or so minutes of the Minnesota game, and none of the OT. Since he came back from injury his ice time has gradually increased (he started out playing less than 10 minutes) but he's still not there. And he doesn't look 100%. Unless the Avs REALLY think they're going to make the playoffs, which I sadly don't, and they think that playing him injured is the only way to get there, then they should sit the poor boy until he's healthy. They definitely don't want to further mess up his foot.
