15 goals? Nasty. Can hit. Can skate. And he's not even 22.

Yeah, what's wrong with Shea Weber.
I'll tell you.
He's not a Red Wing.

Puzzle solved.

P.S. That is MY opinion, not implying anyone else's.

Tomas Holmstrom has looked terrible since returning ...
Hudler and Filppula and Calder have been very good

Dion Phaneuf gets a ton of attention, but Weber stacks up pretty well.

Unless the Wings get realigned out of the Central, or the Preds relocate, we're going to have a lot of time to generate hate for this guy.

I can definitely see working up a Chelios-like hate for him.

Filppula! Nice deke.

The silver lining of Zetterberg's injury is that Hudler and Filppula are finally getting quality ice time and are delivering. Both with 2 points tonight.

Liking that Calder deal more and more. Hoping Wings can re-sign him.

I'm only watching, but I can agree with you on that. He sounds like he'll be a great player for the Preds.

I also agree with Luke that I'll likely generate a good deal of ill will against him.

That's a great two points to steal on the road. I really thought this team was going to slip a bit with the key injuries hitting all at once but I don't know if it's been Nick's leadership or Babcock's focus or it's been a total team effort...I'm very pleased with what I saw tonight. Just wish they didn't lay an egg on Sunday...they would be in first place right now if they didn't.

Its like, these kids can make lang expendable in the offseaon, so you would think right? good minutes, pts on the board... right..

yet, hudlers best chances lately are with lang and calder

DOH..

Kenny boy, keep this core intact! at all costs...

MAN, Flip and Hudler are putting up like they were projected to and the Williams for Calder deal is working out VERY well. I always thought Hudler should be with Lang, because I remember reading they had chemistry from training camps...along with them both being Czech. Awesome win to beat the Preds (with back up goalie and injury depleated line up) in regulation. What will it take to resign Calder?

Gritty...not pretty. But thats a good thing. Good win by the Wings tonight. They were dominated in the 1st, took some stupid penalties and had a few weak, weak, weak calls whistled against them. But came out with a pretty big win. Some thoughts of mine.

How AWESOME is it to see Filpulla and Hudler step up their game so much right now? This was the time for them to show what they can do, and they are absolutely taking the bull by the horns. Along with Datsyuk, those 2 have been the best Wings forwards for the past week or so. Thats a huge plus for the Wings heading into the playoffs, as it will give Babcock much more confidence in playing them.

Ozzie was great in this game. One of the best games I have seen by him in quite a long time. Big kudos to Ozzie tonight.

Calder has been just what the doctor ordered for Detroit. That 2nd line looks much better with he and Hudler out there instead of Williams and <insert other misused winger>.

Kronwall has been BRUTAL for a long stretch of games now. Take the mask off Nik...change something up. He is horrid right now.

I liked the energy tonight from both teams. It was a playoff type game and the Wings did a nice job matching the Preds intensity.

Great fight Bootland.

Tomorrow night should be just as exciting.

when is:

Zetterberg
Cleary
Bertuzzi
Markov
Franzen due back?

I thought i heard Cleary is late this week?
Bertuzzi is after the west road trip? (so next thursday Vs. Colombus?)
Franzen and Markov due back Vs. Calgary?
and Zetterberg is early April or late march?

if this is so, we are looking better...

i like datsyuk with homer and filppula, i think its a smart idea...

I'd also do: Bertuzzi with Zetterberg and Samuelsson... franzen draper and maltby... and keep hudler with lang and calder... Sorry danny boy, but you just might have ruined it... then again, most of us can see chemistry tonight with calder hudler and lang, yet babs will still sit hudler in the playoffs regardless of chemistry, which is upsetting

I thought Kronwall was really good tonight, close to 19 mins IT, +2, 2 shots and an assist. Didn't see any mistakes other than Lilja skating in front of him once when he was trying to clear.

Huds has been great since he's been moved onto a line with Lang and Calder. I really like those lines zetterberg40.

I think it's the mask. He hasn't been the same since that thing went on. He just seems to have a second of hesitation now when making his decisions, as if he's trying to get one last look between the bars to make sure he didn't miss anything the first time. Mickey was saying that the earliest it could come off is the Calgary game.

And I agree about the kids. Not only are they looking good to help out in a playoff run, but they are making it easier to lean on them a bit for next season.
