I still have hopes for him. He's fast, he's a great back-checker. He can stick-handle, he can hit and he has a wicked shot. I'm not sold on his passing game and he doesn't seem to be very confident right now.

If he could gain his confidence and we would turn into a three-offensive line team, he'd be a great third line winger with 40-50 point seasons on average.

Perezhogin has a concussion. He'll recover from it. He won't be cut or traded. Samsonov will be bought out to make room for him. He'll be back next season, better than ever.

samsonov is already gone, and johnson and bonk going or staying has no effect on perezhogins status

No comparing Perezhogin to Afinogenov. Bad!

You want a comparison? Marcel Hossa.

I like him, he's a good player, but ultimately I think he needs to be the "15+ minute and PP time" guy and I don't think there is any room in Montreal for him to ever grab that spot. Kostitsyn and Latendresse have leapfrogged him. Higgins is only in his second real year. Ryder isn't moving. Kovalev is sticking. That's five guys for the top four winger positions.

I'd suggest we move him, get some value and watch him do OK somewhere else. Not because he sucks, just because he is never going to reach his potential here and other players are better bets.
