Dawes

I'm not sure if any of you had a chance to catch the televised games on Sportsnet but Dawes put on a great showing. In my opinion he was one of the best players on the ice in game one and had a strong showing in game two.

He showed his creativity, willingness to battle and slipperiness. Over the course of those games he probably had more scoring chances than anyone else. He didn't do anything different from what he usually does. That combined with his balls to the wall effort and attitude earned him a spot on the Canadian team.

Everyone here in the Kootenays and I'm sure in his hometown of Winnipeg are ecstatic to see the little guy continue to prove everyone wrong. Hope you all get a chance to watch the WJC and catch this young man on the international stage. Look for him to be on one of the top two lines, PP and possibly the PK. Very exciting player and the NYR's truly have a diamond in the rough.

i think it should be noted that aside from his skills, the kid has a ton of character and heart. this isn't marc savard part two here. this kids skills with his heart should allow him to challange. he still has work to do, but the potential is def. there.

Sheesh

Geez, I just read the post below about Dawes, I basically said the exact same thing, word for word that allrevvedup did. My apologies for the duplication - I was totally unaware of what they said prior to my post.

He better get used to making team canada if he is property of the Rangers. At least until 31 anyway.
