Thanks to Versus, I'll watch with the sound off. NY can win this game. If they stay away from CryBaby they can avoid some senseless penalties. They should have saved some goals from the other night, as they'll need them for this game.

6-3-1 will guarantee a berth, they could probably even get away with 5-4-1. It all depends on who they beat. Games like tonight can help, but a loss tonight is actually affordable. As long as they can win the games against Toronto, Montreal, and the Islanders, we're set.
I'd be satisfied with a point tonight, although you would think the Garden and constant overtime losses to pitt will eventually result in a W.....
Brandon Dubinsky will replace Straka tonight. Dubinsky centered Prucha and Ortmeyer in practice.
The rest of the lines:
Isbister-Nylander-Shanny (although Jagr will step in here)
Avery-Cullen-Callahan
Hollweg-Betts-Orr
Quote:
Brendan Shanahan skated but will not play tonight, possibly Wednesday.
Quote:
Defenseman Jason Strudwick, who was signed Saturday, has cleared waivers and is expected to play tonight against the Penguins. Strudwick, who played for HC Lugano in Switzerland this season, practiced with Paul Mara. "My inclination is to play him", said coach Tom Renney
Biggest thing the Rangers gotta do is forget they scored 7 goals the other night...They need to keep playing the same responsible, tight, discipliend game (and get great goaltending from The King) that they have been playing over the past month or so..More then likely we wil lcontinue to play nail biters but if the pucks go in like they did the other night and/or Jagr can start finding the back of the net, so much the better....
dave, you get VS. in HD on Direct TV? What Channel # do you get it on?
Thnx in advance.
VS. is on channel 608 SD full time.
Most every night there is an HD game on channel 95 (sometimes two, an early and a late game), and it could be any game (basketball, hockey, or baseball depending on the season). VS. HD games are USUALLY shown on the HD channel, but not always. Depends what else is on at the time.
I left out HDNet games on channel 79, but when a NY team is playing the game is blacked out live. You can watch the replay at 11PM, however.

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know about the games on ch 95.
