With what you're offering, you can forget about Boynton, Eminger, and Hamuis.

I wouldnt mind seeing a Mckee deal worked out for Comrie somehow..

Maybe:

Buffalo: Comrie, Smith

Edmonton: Mckee, Brown, Connolly

The big question I have is how much can Kevin Lowe expect to make off his own players based on their "exit fee"? Man, I think K-Lo has found a new revenue source.

Wont work imo...Havnt seem EDM games much the fans are saying he is one fo the top players this year for EDM, playing his hardest, etc....With Reasoner coming back, we already have a log jam on forwards...adding two more will not make sense.

See Lanny, I still dont think you get it. First of all, the "exit fee" was only a one time thing, where the free agent with compensation was dictating where he will & wont go. Furthurmore, Lowe himself said it was only for that one deal.
You see Lanny, these guys are not free agents so the circumstances are wholly diferent.
Its really not that complicated if you put that melon of yours to work, now is it ?

How about...

To Buffalo: Comrie, Chimera/Horcoff and Smith

To Edmonton: McKee, Afinogenov and a 4th in 2004

That's absoultely brutal for the Oilers. They downgrade on defense when they should be adding defensemen, not trading them away. Then they have to give up a top-six center AND a young checking line forward (both of which provide good depth and carry cheap contracts) for a streaky winger who is a significant injury liability. The 4th certainly doesn't compensate either.

Besides, why would Buffalo want another small center? They already have Briere and Drury.

I can't see he Oilers wanting to move Jason Smith. He is leading the team in +/-, leading the defense in points with 12, and second to Steve Staios on the team in minutes played.

Smith is also our best shot blocker, hitter, and the team's captain. He is one of the most under-appreciated guys in the lineup, but don't be fooled, he is extremely valuable to the Oilers.

From PHO, it would prolly take Krys Kolanos and Sjostrom for Comrie.

Or Nagy for Comrie and 3rd.
