I really hope these lines arent right. Bégin has no buisness on a top line, much less with Koivu. I dont get Carbonneau's logic...i just hope we win tonight.

five bucks says that the lines look nothing like come the third period.

Personally I feel that Gorges was doing fine, Niinimaa and Souray are a defensive zone disaster, and Dandenault should stay as a forward. He's like a bigger, faster, stronger Garth Murray except he can also hold onto the puck and maybe shoot on net a few times. Garth Murray can't be used on D either so he's pretty much useless.

I want to see a solid fight tonight, no visors (Bouillon), and lots of emotions just like against Toronto. Maybe a classic Bégin fight.

On TSN's Ice chips, they say that Dandy goes back to defence since Bonk will return to the lineup tonight.

Are the lines in the GDT official? 'Cause like many others, Bégin on the first line is not something I like. He is too bang and crash to help Saku and Ryder. Not enough skills to deserve that spot. IMO Lats was doing fine on that line.

Go Habs Go.

I guess Carbo wants to put someone who can forecheck on the first line. Ryder can't, Koivu won't, and Lats is too slow. Bégin will bring the needed intensity and work ethic.

Also, I don't see a problem with Bégin playing alongside talented players. Kovalev, our most talented player, is on the third/fourth line. The number of the line doesn't matter since Carbo plays each line equally (without PP or PK). Plus, it throws the other team off to have talent peppered throughout the lineup.

******** for 2 reasons;

1. Dandenault sucks on D
2. Begin on the top line.

I still can't ****ing believe that Begin is on the top line.

Why not Kovalev? He seemed fine against Toronto, man..even keep Lats on the 1st, he's much better suited for a top 6 role than Begin.

I don't think there are many on these boards, so it can't really be offensive. It's sort of like saying the N word in the company of white folk.

That sums it up I believe. To be honest with you, Dandy does not fit in my plans for next year. Yes he is mobile, but he is a dime a dozen if you will. We have others in the ranks that can contribute to the fourth line, without the 1.7 million to go with. To be usefull this season, he had to elevate his game after the Rivet trade. I don't see how he played any better than Ninnimaa (who is still a mistake waiting to happen) or Gorges. At least Bouillon is dropping the mits, or going after superstars knees i.e. Hossa.

The key to this game is to keep the Bruins from scoring early and get an early goal ourselves. The Bruins are coming off a 7-0 loss, their confidence is probably shot bad.. being shut out and completely ravaged. So if we get a quick goal and keep them off the score sheet, the frustrations will continue to amount for the Bruins and they should be ripe for the plucking.

According to a poster at the Gazette's Habs Inside/Out he has been able to watch the last 3 games on the P2P "SopCast" website. You need to download the program but it is free. The video feed isn't the best.

Someone heard about this?

Apparently during the practice, the players made fun of Aebischer and he was so angry that he break his stick

I like these lines.

I know it's seems a little odd to have Begin on our top line, but is it really our top line?

Begin-Koivu-Ryder
Higgins-Plekanec-Kostitsyn
Latendresse-Lapierre-Kovalev
Dandenault-Bonk-Johnson

Which of those four lines can't score? I also really like Lapierre and Latendresse back together, and with Kovalev who can hopefully help them produce more offensively than, say, Murray or Begin did. Bonk-Johnson is a pairing that has worked well all season, although their offensive production has slowed as of late, they forecheck hard and can still put the puck in the net.
Higgins-Plekanec-Kostitsyn is our top line. Higgins has been really threatening the last few games, and hopefully he can continue his strong play.
Koivu has been struggling of late, missing chances and coughing up the puck more often than he should. Begin will bring some energy to that line, while Ryder has recently shown flashes of brilliance and an ability to set up plays as well as score.

Playing against a player like Chara, who will play near 30 mins, having four threatening lines is beneficial.

4-1 Habs. (Souray PP, Plekanec x2, Ryder PP, Bochenski)

LOL

I think tonight's gonna get intense, you know the Bell Centre is feeling it and those Bruins are gonna be playing with something to prove. I'm gonna be looking for a lot of post-whistle scrums

3-1 Habs BABY

I've watched a few football games using Sopcast. It's clearly in the "last resort" category. Video image can be poor, and you'll also lose parts of the game to "buffering".
