Remember the struggles of last season's end....well we were going to win the cup, but not get a point here and there allowed them to pick Bobby Sanguenetti ahead of the Flyers....just an interesting point as we come down to so many "meaningful points"

Well, Claude Giroux is no slouch with 112 points in 63 games in the Q. I'd rather have Sanguinetti though.

Agree though with the importance of every point.

Philly got away with the better end of the deal. I would have rather played the Flyers in the playoffs than the Devils. That could have happend if we had that "one point"

I'm just saying that we were in no shape to do any damage in the playoffs. I'm glad we made it in...but i am also glad we finished 8th to get the better draft pick....

Same with the giants this year...finish 8-8 and get in...but still have a better pick than going 10-6 and getting bounced just the same.

I've always said if you're going to miss the playoffs you might as well finish last in the league.

Philly's had a rough year, and they'll be rewarded with a top young player come June...perhaps Pat Kane, maybe Kyle Turris.

They've got some good youngsters on the squad already and A LOT of cap room to sign some free agents this summer. This season may greatly benefit them in the long run.
