I've got three more hours to work on the website but unfortunately I think I have three days worth of work. It won't be totally finished like I said. I apologize for once again not coming through with something like I said I would. I've promised you guys a lot of things and I haven't been able to make all of those things happen. I wish I hadn't promised everything but I felt like I had to say all of that to keep your interest. I hope all of you aren't disappointed...I really wanted to get this done for you guys.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to work on it over break since the school will be closed. I should have atleast an example of a team page, some of the results, the current standings and some other archived info. I talked to my teacher about how far away I was from the finished product and he understood...he thought I bit off more than I could chew; he was right. If I could've been able to work on this at home, maybe this would be a different result but I'm limited to being able to only do this at school and I've had two other classes with projects I've had to work on.
I'll try my best to get what I can up on web so you can atleast see something...I won't come up completely empty. Again, I'm sorry.
I took enough time trying to convert all of the Excel spreadsheets into tables but then look completely different on the Mac computers at school. This was my first chance to see the page on my computer at home. I made the page for 800 x 600 resolution but you can see it well enough 1024 x 768...your choice really.
The few things I'm proud of, the introduction page, the menu bar and the team title bar. I'm not great with using tables but I can do the graphics pretty well. The only team page that I made was Plano...I chose them because they had the best record, had to record DFF with something. None of the spreadsheets worked all that well on the site. The text looks too big for the cells. Believe me, the stuff on the original spreadsheets are fine. If anyone would want me to e-mail them a few samples of my Excel work, which I am very proud of, I can do so.
The bad thing is that I haven't even gotten started on Week 9's stuff yet because I've been busy all of last week. I won't be able to work on anything until Wednesday night/Thursday morning...I have final class on Wednesday. I've had a good semester but I've unfortunately worn myself out with trying to do too much with my final projects. I had a final project in QuarkXPress class where I made a mini-NHL magazine and I barely got that done.
Anyways, take a look around at the page...I wish I had more to show you. I was hoping this project was going to work because of the ability to save Excel spreadsheets as tables but that really didn't work all that well and that pretty much ruined the process. Sorry guys...I wish I could've come through for you. I'll see what I can do next semester when I don't have the pressure of actually having to do this for a grade.
