Classic MSG Network intro from back in the day. I used to love that intro... back when MSG Network was "The Best In The Game"

anyone have the old rangers intro where they would show clips of a player getting dressed between highlights of recent great plays and then you would hear a saxophone occasionally in the background.... i think it was the one they used before they changed to the current intro

ahh yes so nice, brings me back to my childhood. I liked the Rangers intro more, the one they used up until not so long ago. On youtube?

I loved that intro and was so disappointed that they changed it, which I think was just this year. It would get me so pumped for the game. I made sure to turn on MSG at 6:57 just to see it. The skate getting sharpened and the saxophone intro and you knew what time it was.

Everyone should write to: msgnetpr@msgnetwork.com to bring back the old intro!

I just wrote:
Hello,

I was wondering what ever happened to the old Rangers introduction video for MSG? There was the song that started with a skate sharpening and a saxophone playing. Then the video of the player putting on his jersey, videos of things that had happened during the season and videos of great Rangers players at the very end. I've always remembered that intro video from when I was growing up and was very disappointed to see it taken away. Please bring it back.

Anthony

Yeah we all were pissed when they went to "MSG Reborn" and did away with that.

Though i had a big problem with the ending to that intro, for the last 7 seasons or so - at the very end they showed the Rangers logo in all of its grandeur - and then they blew it up. It just expoded into flames and pieces.

I never understood why.

I miss the old Rangers sax intro. It still plays in my mind.

And since we're talking about old intros....

Only people in their late 20's will remember this one..
