At 1pm the Rangers play Boston: Boston has got to be embarressed with its last three games. I can see them finally coming out to play a full 60 minutes tonight. Lets assume they get a win which is probably about 50% likely
I also dont see Phily being able to beat Islanders today, so lets assume Islanders win.
Buffalo gives Toronto another punding today by starting off strong coming.
Ottawa defeats tampa, and San Jose takes out Carolina which is also quite likely
Now if we win our game the standings will look like this
6 Tampa 86 points--- 6 games remaining
7 Montreal 84 points---6 games remaining
8 Rangers 83 points---7 games remaining
9 Long Isand 83 points---8 games remaining
10 Carolina 82 points---7 games remaining
11 Toronto 80 points ---7 games remaining
Give me a Habs win and a Carolina loss and I am happy today. If that happens, we are in a playoff spot and Carolina's game in hand is meaningless because we would have 2 more wins. Anything else is gravy.

I think it's a positive thing that NYR and NYI play at 1pm because the Habs will have more passion when they will see if these teams have won or not. They'll know what kind of game they have to play. Sure, you'll tell that whether these teams play tonight or this afternoon it's absolutely change nothing at the habs gameplan. But I think Habs will be more ready.
