Canes Tie A Can To Maurice

But they didn't hire Keenan as a replacement, so there's still hope that Iron Mike will supplant MacT, and lead the Oil to glory.

Yeah, because Mike Keenan was effective with the other youngest team in the league.

Maurice is a good coach, but after seven (?) years it's understandable to lose some guys on a team.

I doubt he'll be out of work too long...

Of the dozen or so visiting coaches I've had the opportunity to listen to or ask questions of at Oiler games this year... Paul Maurice was the most approachable and likebale of the bunch.

He'll get work again sooner than later I think. Nice guy... I'd like to see him involved with the Oilers in fact!

You are chimmered if you think that Iron Mike is what this team needs....

Maybe we could get Maurice....

Definitely not this year unless they REALLY go into the tank. He's in the first year on a new contract. No way does cash strapped Edmonton fire the coach and still have to pay him for a couple years after.

too bad because, frankly, i think maurice would be just what the oilers need. he is an excellent coach who gets the most out of his players and his special teams.

Snore... sorry, what whut? Oh sorry, i was watching a Canes game there for a sec. Maybe as a special teams coach, definitely not as head coach.

Okay, all right, I realize I'm in the minority with my pro-Keenan ways.

How about Viktor Tikhinov? If Isbister has a bad shift, ship the big lug to the salt mines!
