miss the playoffs. And before I get into the meat of this post, I dont need another 50 people come marching in here saying:

" OMGZ ITS ONE LOSS!!!111 WAY TO OVERREACT!!!!11!!!1 ".

Dont waste your time being Cap'n Obvious and regurgitating the same redundant drama comments. Weve heard em a million times before. Dont waste the forum space.

Lets face it, this teams offense has been sucking horribly as of late. Six of of the last eight wins for this team have been paltry 2-1 games. Henrik has been bailing this teams ass out long enough, and his back finally broke tonight from all the carrying he has been doing the past few weeks.

The Rangers got an ugly win against the Bruins on Saturday, and I felt that the Isles outplayed them on Sunday too. Tonight they scored 4 goals, but 2 of them were flukey shots from the point that got past a rookie goalie.

The Rangers might be able to pull off a win with 2 goals against the Flyers, but they arent going to get another win with those results against Toronto or the Isles again.

I would change the lines up too. Jagr-Straka-Nylander hasnt worked this season, I dont know why Renney is going back to it.

There are so few games left that Hank must come back this weekend standing on this head or this team could easily miss the playoffs.

It seems like you have already realized the comedy of your own post so there isnt much need to point it out.

Heh... Have you been saving this up for when the Rangers lost a game?

i think hank will bounce back. he's too good not to. also think it was a big mistake pulling him tonight also no matter how many goals he gave up. can't play a rusty goalie who hasn't played in about 3 1/2 weekes in this kind of game.

Not a big mistake pulling him. It was actually a blessing in disguise. He needed the rest.

They started to play a bit better in the 3rd when Straka was off the Jagr line. Then they start playing well and score two. Then Straka's right back on the top line and they fall apart again. Why is Renney so dumb?

No I havent.

Im assuming your one of those fans who wont say the Rangers are bad until they finish dead last in the conference and lose 50 games in a season.

Actually I was thinking the exact oposite, if this was 3 weeks ago I would have continued with the we aren't making the playoffs, but the team turned it around and in turn, turned me around, Not to sound Cliche but, you can't win em all, I had a feeling they would make it close in the 3rd, Jagr showed a lot of heart by doing everything he could do, We just have to bounce back and concentrate on preparing for the next game.

Blowing the 2 goal lead does bother me.

Dude, look at the scoreboard today. We're not the only team struggling that's battling for the playoffs. This was the first truly bad game in a long long while. I think we'll rebound come Sat

Beats me...Some of his moves make me just shake my head. Straka has nothing left. He can't be playing top line minutes.

Im not saying that the Rangers wont make the playoffs, but they cant have this loss bother them enough to go into a mini-rut that doesnt recover by Sunday when they play Toronto.

Hah... I point out the stupidity of your comment and the only option you find is to try to paint me as an eternal optimist?

Think about what you are saying in your post... You are basically saying that if the team plays bad, they wont make the playoffs. Duh? As long as it is mathematically possible for them to miss the playoffs, that possibility exists. Thanks for pointing it out.

Henrik had an off game. Who's to say it will continue. He is tired. He has a great rest for our weekend games and you should expect to see him as good as new.

I wouldn't worry

Every team has off games whether your the best or the worst.

Of course the Rangers will have trouble getting into the playoffs if Lundqvist doesn't bounce back, BUT why would he fail to do that?

If the Rangers don't win any of their last five games they could miss the playoffs...and, no doubt, Henke is scarred by tonight's game.

The way in which they lost tonight - it reminded me very much of the 9-0 loss to Toronto. This team has struggled bouncing back from bad losses. You knew they'd be fine after the losses to Ottawa, Philly, etc. This is much like all of those bad losses during the losing streaks - they've had several rough streaks this year, and lost 5 straight at the end of last season.

I'd still be very surprised if they did not get in. However, like this team can't hold 2-0 leads, they haven't been the best at showing stability after a very unstable loss. Any other team could guarantee at least 5 points in their last 5 most important games...can New York? We'll see....

Got 3 numbers for you

10
1
3

What do those numbers mean? When you see what they mean, you'll know why it IS overracting to act like this after we played one bad period of hockey. Okay, one terrible period. But it happens. Not to mention Montreal is the type of team that does exactly this, espically at home. They have done this more than once this season, they seize on momentum.

Rangers will get in, so will Montreal.

When I look in our cage and see Lundqvist in net, I smile. We have the best goaltender in this playoff race.
