I feel like a trade involving Eminger and the late first is going to bring in our defenseman (possibly Redden)

But if i had to pick its pretty tough.

I think the ones they like will be too pricey.

I throw out Hamrlik - but i just dont see them signing these guys.

Im a habs fan and I'm telling you, you do NOT want Markov...

he is SOOOO overated...
He is playing as if he were 45...
way too soft...
relying on Souray/Komi to make himself look good...
not coachable...
bad leader...

all around cancer, plus he's bound to be overpaid...

if I were you i'd get a petition going to make sure Mcphee doesn't sign him.

you'll thank me!

I SWEAR (on my unlces third cousins-ex-wife's-brother's-best friends grave) THAT THIS IS ALL TRUE...

None of the above.

I think they'll shoot for one via trade. If that falls through, maybe Lang? I don't know his feelings toward the front office, though.

I think Sundin or Forsberg signs here over the summer. You heard it hear first!

We will sign Zubrus to a 3 year $10 Mio. deal.

He will notice that he will not get any better offers from other NHL teams so he will come back here.

How is Vishnevski's game these days? And isn't he the one Brashear pounded on after Sutton tried to decapitate (end the career of) Mike Green?

This would not surprise me at all...and tho that's too much money for me I'd like Zubrus on the team as the 2nd line RW. We'll see. It has to be clear that Zubrus is not good enough to be a 1st line player on a good team...but he's an excellent support player. I'd love to have him in that role.

if we sign a free agent winger than just to fill out the squad and be a fourth liner.
The open top 6 winger spot will be given to Fehr, Flash, Bouchard or maybe our first round pick.

Those are the guys I would go after, in that order. I would be really happy with one of either Datsyuk or Gomez.

Kozlov is someone I thought they should have signed in the offseason when nobody showed much interest. He's Russian, older but not too old, and is a great shootout guy.

If I had my wish I would pursue these guys in order.

Andrei Markov
Scott Hannan
Chris Phillips

HOWEVER, I think the defender will come via trade not as a free agent.

I'd like Vishnevski. Modry, and one from the top defensemen like Timonen, Rafalski, Philips.

From my point of view, McPhee'll sign such type of centers like Lang, Handzus, York, White, Stefan or Bonk.
I'd like Gomez and Comrie.

Per one of the other threads, if everything else works out, Zubrus on the second line, RW makes sense. At 3m/year, I may be willing to overpay a bit for the intangibles.
