Pisani is likely out, so Laraque is in, and MacTavish said that he is going to continue rotating goalies, so Salo's starting. I don't know about the defence.

I have a very bad feeling to hear that Salo will be in the net tonight. God Bless him!

Salo will prove his worth tonight. Hopefully the Oilers defence keys in on Palffy.

It's amazing the Kings are where they are without Alison and Deadmarsh. Shows what decent coaching can do, I guess...

I agree and also hope the 'Oil' don't make the Freudian slip-up and forget to confound Sigmund every time he is in the Oilers' end of the rink. Maybe big hit Raffi could transport that Jung man into icy dreamland! Sorry couldn't resist those puns ... ... Oilers really need this game so I'll risk a 3 - 2 win in regulation.

oilers win this despite some awful goals let in that aren't salo's fault...yet he will be blamed, the pk won't even last 100% into the second period, Raffi will hit something even if its his own man, Brewer has a brain fart putting g2k's knickers in a twist while LawnDemon blows air about Cross. The regular Ferguson what is he doing in the NHL comment will resurface, a goal gets disalowed as Oyler makes some sentences that are incomprehensible, The doctor (van nostrin) will start a fight with Walsher after walsher makes a silly statement. Nobody marks Palffy and so he'll score, Oates makes a great pass and the receipent of the pass is guaranteed to hit the net (behind the glass). Somebody here will curse when another goal gets dissalowed.

But at the end all happiness will reign despite curses at MacT and demands for his head as the Oilers will win this game, may the force be with them!

of course if they lose then Oyler can upload a dot for his avatar

Brewer plays his best game this year. York and Smytty each get 2 and Laraque scores 1. 5-4 Oil.

Oh lordy!!! So many flash-backs to developmental psychology! Geez OYLer, I think this is the second of such school flash backs you have provided for me. Think you could stop?

Things are going too well for me, so that must spell and Oiler loss (to end my good streak). Let's see ... Straka and Palffy are too much for Ferguson to handle, and Salo lets in a crushing goal that he should have stopped. 4-3 for the Kings.

Prove me wrong Oilers, prove me wrong.

I am looking forward to watching Hemsky match up against Frolov tonight. That will be interesting to see. I also want to see how Huet stands up to a pressure team other than the Blues. It should be a good game and if Laraque is in then the Kings will have some trouble because they either don't have or won't dress anyone who will fight or play that style of game. I am never any good at picking who will win or lose but I hope the Oilers lose and the Kings win.

It will be a good game and you lot are playing pretty well of late too, especially with all of the other termoil going on behind the scenes. Cheers.

Sigmund... Jung?!?
My psyche * shudders * and they are both probably turning in their graves.

I make no predictions, but I expect the boys to keep working hard.

GO OILERS GO!!!

Win tonight and the story line is 'undefeated in 4'. Lose and we will get 'only 3 wins in last 13'. I'm voting for 6 of 8 points on the road!

No joke here, I dreamt that we were blown out by the Kings last night.
I think the score came out to 9-2 or something with Palffy and Robitaille getting all the goals.
let's hope that I'm not psychic...(actually it would be kinda cool).

My prediction:

Tie, 4-4. Smyth, Dvorak, Isbister, Staios.

Any news if Bergeron is playing?

I think...

This game should be pretty wide open...i foresee at least 7 goals total.

Anyone know if Woywitka has been assigned to Toronto? Is Allen still technically up with the big club or was he reassigned? Is Pisani going onto the injured reserve? Is Reasoner playing tonight?

All things considered i will say 6-3 Oilers:

Isbister (2), Dvorak, Semenov, Laraque and Hemsky with the goals.

This according to the Oilers' NR on the trade:

Quote:
Woywitka will report to the Toronto Roadrunners and will play his first game for Edmonton’s AHL affiliate against his former Philadelphia Phantoms teammates on Thursday, December 18th.

Reasoner flew home on Sunday and likely won't play until after Christmas according to the Edmonton Sun.

Oilers win 4-2

Hemsky with a big night...I'ma say...a goal and an assist. Other goals by Moreau, York, and Semenov.

Edmonton win 3-1.

Goals by Smyth, Oates, Stoll. Oates on the PP.

Straka gets the lone LA goal. On the PP of course. We kill off 5 others though I bet.

Gator sets the tone. I can't wait

No more Comrie rumors.

Whew, just made the cut (a half hour before game time!). Stupid boards were out of commission for a while there. Anyways, the Oilers are a bit...uh deflated from all the trade talk, their focus is off, and unfortunately we lose 4-2. Dvorak and Hemsky tally for us.

Why aren't the oilers wearing the vintage duds? I'm getting the kings feed and so far no talk of the Comrie deal, is this game on sportsnet? what have the thoughts on the deal been.

Oh no Oilers just got a PP, I hope they don't give up a SHG

Is it safe yet to say that Horcoff looks like he has consistently returned to form? I'd say so. It's been about 6-7 straight games now. Good to see.
