According to ESP, it is indeed Serge Bourgeois. But you already knew that, didn't you Dave?

Hmm... no comment?

I don't know wether it'll be him or not, but I can say that he's been my choice from the get-go.

ESP has been around a loooooooong time.
I'd be surprised if he's wrong.
Interesting that he he also reports that Kevin Gaudet has signed on for 2 more years with Vienna Caps of the Austrian league. Geez didn't know that former Moncton Golden Flames and Calgary Flames coach Pierre Page also coaches in that league with Salzberg.

Hey freelancer, luv the mic! Do you also have suspenders? Bourgeois seems like a natural in that he's been involved with the program for a while, he knows the school, he's a former player, and the transitional phase would be minimal..hadn't seen Steady Eddie's column but he's got a lot of buddies within the Moncton hockey scene and you gotta think he's got some reliable information.....didn't realize that Pierre Page was still coaching as one of the posts indicated.....is he as crazy as ever? You guys should be posting a stream for the world curling...they should simply hand the trophy over to Martin and save themselves a week long aggravation

Question?
Sylvain Sansfacon was intitially listed on the Aigles roster at the start of the season. He never played a game and played with Moncton Vito's of the NBJHL this past season.
He's from Qc so I'd say attended UdeM.
Any word on him? Not looking for dirt or bashing just interested. Seems strange a guy who was 1st listed on an AUS roster would play provincial Jr?

Finally we have a coach again!

Yay Serge!

I was up home for a few days and missed out on the press conference, but it's not like I didn't know what was coming up either

Only time will tell, of course, but on the surface, Bourgeois was the natural choice. No transitional phase since he's been around the program for some time. Always nice to see quality and character players get the opportunity to further their impact following their playing days. If I remember correctly, Serge was a smooth skating defenceman noted more for his puck-moving ability than banging people into the boards. Wonder if that's going to be his coaching mantra: up-tempo, puck-moving; aggressive and free-whealing Aigles Bleus: As a fan, would love to see it. Good for the school to reward loyalty.

Very nice pick up for Les Aigles. With Ouellet and Chabot in the middle Moncton is set for centers over the next few years.

Who's the idiot who wrote that article?

I wasn't aware of the fact we had a centreman named Marc-Andre Bureau. Silly.

Hey cool. Thanks for the link, seeing as I'm up home for a few days and don't have access to my morning T&T copy.

The rink is going to be freaking awesome, I'll tell you that. Won't be the same place anymore.

Being someone who loves to stand at the JLL as long as the rail on top of the seating is still there I'll dodge the posts
The one draw back of the 4-Ice is that there's no rail at the top of the seats to lean on. I stand at the Coliseum too.
But hey, I ***** and whine but I'll find a spot. Just one of those old farts if there's a game somewhere in Greater Moncton I'll end up there.
The JLL needed the fresh-up it was getting a little stale.
Surprised on how little time it took to get the reno's done. Nothing to do with Uni hockey but 3 years ago when the Dobson Arenas got the 3 million $ refit it took over a year and they never touched the 2 surfaces. A new entrance way, canteen and upstairs meeting rooms. Although elevators and disabled facilities and dressing rooms were added.
Start in April done by Sept. That's quick working.
Can't wait to see the new look.

Unfortunately not.... At least nothing so far. Well... we will have a less obstructed view, since they removed those old hanging heaters.

Also... we lost one of our recruits last night... God damn ****ing agents, that's all I'm going to say for now hehe.

Bah... never mind about being politically correct, here's a link to it. http://www.cyberpresse.ca/le-droit/s...americaine.php

Jean-Phillip Chabot signed a 2 way deal with Hartford of the AHL. Another one lost to (eventually) the ECHL...

Not exactly what I was looking forward to reading about on a Saturday morning.

That always sucks. Maybe he'll get optioned down to the ECHL early and realize he might need long-term options in time for Semester 2?

Hey Timbit, do you guys have any spy shots of the JLL?

Hey Timbit, do you guys have any spy shots of the JLL?
There's always a possibility of that happening I guess...

And as for spy shots, I don't have anymore than the one in the linked article a few posts back, but if I remember I'll bring my camera with me on Tuesday and grab a few then.

I did take a ****-ton of pics last year after we finished playing though, so it'll be fun to do a little before and after comparing when all is said and done. Comparison will be posted here of course

To hell with the press boxes only a few can sit there anyways?
I'm not one of the chosen ones.
Will the rail still be there. Some one told me no. Because of congestion in the walkways?
Okay, I just felt like goin' on about somethiing

Well... the rail IS still there for now, and with the reduced available seating, I can't see them doing away with it, especially with the bunch of people we have at our games who refuse to sit down (like you apparently )
