Tyutin can't get back soon enough.....

The way Isbister has played it's going to be interesting to see who sits when Hossa comes back... For whatever reason Isbister has clicked with Nylander and Jagr and I'm not so sure Renney is going to break that line up...

If the Rangers clinch Lundqvist should be rested on Thursday night...

If the Rangers make the playoffs...They are going to be a tough out for any team. They have come together as a team since Feb 28th..

I disagree...I think the Rangers should continue to ride Lundqvist. If we win on Tuesday and decide to pack it in, then we risk having to face Buffalo, PIT, or the Devils. I wanna lock up the 6th seed and take my chances on Atlanta.

Lundqvist will have time to rest between the end of the season and the start of the playoffs.

I'd like to give him a little rest going into the playoffs. I still think we can beat the Isles w/ Valiquette and a fresher Lundqvist is going to help us a lot more than a tired one. We saw how he looked in Montreal and Philly, not saying anything bad, but just a bit tired which is understandable.

I just don't know that we can give Henrik a night off right now. I was thinking possibly the final game vs. Pittsburgh, but that would mean he doesn't play for 5 or 6 days...and that might be too much time off.

But that isn't possible unless Tampa folds (loses the next 2) and the Rangers win the next two.

Rangers still have to take this a game at a time. Islanders next, we need these two points.

Avery got the Rangers on the board 5:19 in, 3:31 after Ponikarovsky's 21st goal, when he got to a rebound of Shanahan's shot above the right circle and sent the puck through traffic and by Raycroft. He punctuated the goal with his signature fist thrust, and celebrated with an emphatic slap of the glass.

That led to the first of two discussions between the officials and Avery in the period.

"I'm very selective in my hearing like I was in grade school and with my mom," Avery said with a straight face. "I have a switch that I turn on and off. It was off at that point."

Less than a minute after Tucker served a penalty for roughing Avery, the Rangers' agitator tapped his Toronto counterpart on the leg with his stick before a faceoff. The feisty forwards held a lengthy conversation while waiting for the puck drop, and Tucker had his gloves off the moment it hit the ice.

"Darcy has always been a whiner. You say you don't like his hair and he'll be upset," Avery said.

I did notice that, but I just figured it was incidental. Nothing should come of it.
