We just lost in regulation to Chicago.

That's like sleeping with your prom date and finding out afterwards that she's your sister.

We got the job done. Now if LA can take Phoenix in both games we get the #5 pick.

OntOilFan is an Oilers hater. He never showed up last year during the run alst season. He only shows up to bash.

BTW, stop quoting OntOilFan as he's on my ignore.

A defeat signed Hemsky...Imagined a single second if Jacques had made the same error as Hemsky. He would not play any more the season...That's right Oilers 2 laws, 2 measures...

not sure if this has been mentioned yet but we're one Blackhawk goal away from having the fewest goals for in the entire league.

Imagine if Jacques could score at an NHL level?

There are people IN THIS THREAD who cheer when Chicago scores and are actively wanting us to lose and I'M the Oilers hater?

That's rich.

One standard for a forward that scores points, the other for a forward who doesn't... sounds about right to me. Frankly if things were the way they should Jacques shouldn't even have the opportunity to make errors in the NHL... he should be in the AHL.

Exactly, that's because Hemsky makes mistakes but also produces offensively, while Jacques just makes mistakes.

One of the worst most boring games I've ever seen in my life. Two lame teams challenging each other to see who's worst. At least the Oilers gave themselves a chance to move up in the draft standings.

Even against Chicago we lose...wow, we are weak.
And the D2T5 is still alive.

Hemsky has earned his free passes. That's what leading your team in scoring for two years in a row will do.

Jacques is pointless in his career.

Are you for real? An Oiler win doesn't help at all in the draft standings. Get a clue.

It seriously would not surprise me to find out that you're Jacques' mom, and I'm not even saying that to be funny. I've just never seen anyone make so many excuses for a player like this before... especially one who has sucked so incredibly badly. Truly, it boggles my mind.

His usual self, during the intermission he said how there were being outhit yet hits for both teams were only seperated by one. And bascially the entire night just said there no was no effort outside of Roloson, Peterson, and Stortini.

While it was boring at times, the effort was much better tonight by the majority of the team.

Woohoo!!! I didn't realize it was an early game!!! We lost to Chicago!!! Wow, the last time that I saw the 'Hawks, they resembled an ECHL team in terms of effort and skill. DF5!!! DF5!!! DF5!!! The #5 and #10 picks would go a LONG way to getting me to forget this atrosity of a season. Weak draft or not, at least one of those picks should turn into something.

Like I said in the thread about Kelley, they are piling on because they can. Seriously, I don't want an inbetween period analyst that strokes the ego of the Oilers and their fans, but I don't want to listen to one that will find any excuse, even if it doesn't really exist to destroy the team.

Not that this team is worth sticking up for all the time, but being out hit, when the hits are 1-1, ********.

I'm in a state of half-bemused shock over here.

I mean, we lost to Chicago? In regulation?

Crikey.
