Obviously during the summer there isnt a lot of hockey going on in Germany. However I am going to be visiting Berlin and Dresden this summer and I was wondering if there were places to get hockey gear. I am a big fan of DEL hockey so it would be cool to get something while I am there. Any suggestions shot them my way!

Serously... Are u kidding me???
You live in America and you are a big fan of DEL hockey? Have you ever seen a game? That's the worst hockey around the world.
I'm watchin about 30 games every year, LIVE, and to come home and watch the NHL at night are two different types of sports...
It's definately not the worst hockey in the world, not even close to it.
Going by your logic, no one in Germany should watch any kind of sports anymore, because you can find a better product for pretty much every sports there is, somewhere in the world.
Besides, there is more than one reason why someone can be fan of something.
That doesn't have all that much to do with German hockey, though.
If by hockey you mean incompetent management and lack of money, then yes, German hockey is a nightmare, though it's a bit better than it has been until a few years ago.
If you are talking about hockey, there is nothing nightmarish about German hockey.
How is the DEL doing these days? Improving? And how is the quality of German youth-hockey?
I saw a game last year, Hamburg-Kassel and i thought it's the same quality as the Allsvenskan (2nd Swe Leauge), with some "old half ok ex-Ahl" - Canadians and no so much own products.
One thing that impressed mewas the big number of spectators! Is hockey on the way up in Germany?
Is very probably that DEL team Fuchse Duisburg will move to Stuttgart and new Porsche Arena for next championship. Money is the motivation.
Duisburg has one of the lower budgets in the league and that is visible in the rankings. The Foxes finished last. Team owner Ralph Pape was very unhappy with the limited support for his team from the region and for a while threatened to leave the club, with bankruptcy the likely result.
I am very surprised about the German young defenders like Osterloh, Hördler, Draxinger and Dietrich...i never thought they could play at such an international level.
Haven't seen them anywhere, either, but I know where one can ask
It's a pity that they don't release these numbers anymore. There was a time where you could get the last seven days of each channel, now you get only one.
