One of the most underrated players of the 1970s, an excellent faceoff expert, a superb defensive forward who put together some impressive offensive seasons, and was described by Phil Esposito as the strongest player he had ever seen.

Wisent, if you haven't PM'ed a list to anyone yet, I can take care of it for you. I'll be around on and off all afternoon, and then throughout the evening.
MXD, BM is going to kill you.
And, I have pnep's pick. The Siberian Bears are pleased to select: D Charlie Huddy.

Thanks, I haven`t sent a list yet but at this pace, I probably can make both my picks. If not, I gladly take your offer. I stiill have a bit of research to do. Still so many holes in my lineup (as in everyones).
The Sologubov pick hurt my plan a bit.

BM usually isn't on-line until about 9 or 10 p.m. EST. So that's another eight hours. I'd be surprised if he's back before the Devils game is done. So unless he PM'ed his pick, it'll be a while before the next pick comes up.

I thought I should already have been dead for Nedomansky...
Well, Patrick was a natural fit for my team. Someone who won the cup, was named top NHL coach for 7 (or 6, not home, cannot really watch either) years. He was proning hard, but clean tactics, which kinda fits with my team stacked with rather big forwards, most of 'em being very responsible players... and my "dirtiest" player is Boris Mikhailov by a very long shot -- and he wasn't a very dirty guy to begin with. The fact that I only have 2 D-Mens drafted yet, and that the guy I considered to draft with this pick was drafted (Vlad Lutchenko) made my pick waaayyyyy easier. He was also a very inspirationnal coach, who could really help some guys who had consistency problems in the past...
With Tkachuk gone my short list is one name long...

I don't think he's ever PM'd a pick...

But don't worry, I'm going for Adrian Plavsic, hush hush.
Adrien Plavsic. There's a name from the Canucks' past. And one that I'd rather soon forget, too.
Hard to believe how highly thought-of he was when the Canucks aquired him at the trade deadline in 1990. Expectations grew after an impressive performance with Canada at the 1992 Olympics, and a strong stretch run and post-season with Vancouver in 1992. He didn't carry it over to 1992-93.
Plavsic and Dan Ratushny. Two wash-out Canuck prospects who looked great with Canada's national team program, and made great first impressions, but fizzled in a hurry.

I always remember buying packs of hockey cards as a kid an getting a ton of Adrien Plavsic cards. I could never figure out who he was since he was never playing when I watched the Canucks.
Pitre will fit in perfectly on our top line as he was the long time wing man of Newsy Lalonde. A big man even by today's standards, Pitre was also a phenominal skater, and one of the few big RW's with the scoring ability and speed to keep up with Lalonde and Bentley. He was arguably the greatest scorer in the NHA, and was a top-5 scorer once and a top-10 scorer once in the NHL, despite those years coming at the end of his career. His chemistry with Lalonde should give me potent first line.
