Could Comrie be part of a package for...

Iginla?

Just speculating as to why Clarke did this.

won't happen if clarke can't sign commy to a reasonable contract that calgary can afford. plus, what does a contract mean to commy? not much, so i hope he doesn't sign for much!

Calgary is red hot right now and they're in a playoff hunt. It makes zero sense for them to trade Iginla anytime soon. Comrie is here to stay.

I don't know, calgary is down all of there centers right now, and Iggy is making too much money for the flames. Even if it was a 2.5 mill contract he signed better then the almost 8mill they gotta fork over to Iggy for not playing well? I think it is a little more realistic then not. And if Commrie does have a hate on for Lowe then where better to go to try and stick it to kevin and the oilers then calgary.? What would The flyers have to give up as well as commrie though?

Whether they keep Comrie or get someoen like Iginla, I think this makes Philly a better team (and they were already very good). Will probably give them the scoring edge they need to get that extra goal or two in a tight series against Ottawa or NJ.

Probably... and lord-willing, Jeff Back-up will be nowhere to be seen to let in those pesky 100 footers.
