With Comrie talks dead. Who's the whipping boy now?
cause there always is

I'm sure it'll be a mix of Laraque and Salo.

Salo for me, as I have a hard time complaining about forth liners who play only 8 minutes per game. Unless they make 2mil per season.(Isbister)

I go with Fergy,
Horc is shaping up to be just fine.
Izzy's working hard, he's just not racking up the points.
Salo's looked better since returning.

I guess Horcoff needs a 4 point night to get people off his back.

In the past 9 games the Oilers have scored 18 goals. Horcoff has 3 goals and 3 assists (6 pts) in the past 9 games.

So Horcoff has been in on 6 of the Oilers last 18 goals. That's 1/3.

If he has a part in 10 of the next 20 goals will people FINALLY start to pull their boot off him?

sheeeesh....

I'll take MacT as well, with a side helping of Ferguson. Fergie only hits my list because he's keeping either Bergeron or Semenov out of the lineup when he is in.

head coach MacT, special teams coach Craig Simpson, flailing goaltender Tommy Salo.

Fergy is worried enough already with another D-Man in the fold. His days are numbered. Bergeron, Semenov and Woywitka ready to play. Not to mention the addition of Ulanov

Agree 100%

I would really like to see Bergs instead of Fergs. 10 points in 23 games and he sits while we have trouble scoring? And a plus 3 to boot.

We can still whip Mikey for a couple more days though, can't we?

I'm a die hard OILERS fan and love going to games in Edmonton when Rexall Place is really rockin'. The fans can be great! But at the same time they can quickly get ugly and turn on a player like a bunch of cannibals if a player is struggling. The Poti case was the worst and irritated me to no end. Poti is a defenseman with a huge offensive upside and was more adept at rushing the puck than anyone since Paul Coffey. I wish we still had him to pair with Begeron on the powerplay. Whenever the Edmonton fans turn on a player like that, the players performance and in turn value, will suffer, and the team will suffer as a result. It's funny how fans will scream, yell and cheer and try to make as much noise as possible to try to get their team pumped up, but will refuse to do the same thing for a player that is struggling. Instead they'll expound loads of energy booing a player when keeping thier mouths shut would do a lot more good!

In a prefect world we would say nobody, but there is always a player who the fans and managment will start focusing on if they are not doing there jobs. Salo is a great example ... here is a 4 Million dollar goalie on a low budget team putting up some horrible numbers. I think we the fans have been hoping and sitting back waiting for him to rebound but enough is enough .... there is a reason to be talking about Salo (thus the whipping boy)

There was no doubt that Poti offensive ability was very high, but what started to get fans and management upset with him (not to mention the contract amounts) was the way he dodged hits and didn't bother to hit anyone else.

Hey Cawz, I totally agree, and that is why I threaded into place, another Mikey whipping post. We can release some of our pent-up anger by continuing to turn the screw down on Mikey, when the going gets tough, Mr. MacBye-bye! I'm heading east of eden, then taking a powder south of respect, For a Few Dollars More.

Funny stuff G2K! Unfortunately, Sir Scott the Slow, bipedded plodder extraordinaire, faster than a two toed speeding sloth, might have to fall on the next gernade to justify his being on the ice. You gotta love Ferggie's heart, I just wish it pumped a little more oxygenated blood to his brain--to help prevent it from cramping up.
