AHL testing a larger neutral zone.

The test will comprise adding two feet of width to each blue line beginning at the leading edge of the line in the attacking zone, and adding one foot to either side of the leading edges of the center red line.

Did you hear McKenzie talk about the 'ball hockey' idea in which the offensive team would have the offensive zone extended to the red line once they were on-side. A little too radical for my liking, but at least the NHL is being progressive in their attempt to make the game more interesting. Having more 4 on 4 play due to coincidental penalties would be a big step in creating more scoring chances.
