Well this is the result I want...but just because we got this, it does NOT mean this is going to be easy. This team has alot of firepower and they are going to definitely put the puck in the net. It's up to Henrik to play the way he did down the stretch and if he does, I like our chances alot.

Anyone else have a little concern about the amount of ex Rangers on this ****atlanta team? Holik, Rucchin, Dupuis even De Vries.

Hopefully they don't exploit our system and culture. But I'm guessing it's a null issue.

C'mon, don't be a Rangers HOMER.

Marian had more than 50 points 7 straight years. 56, 75, 66,80, 82, 92, 98. He has improved each year.

Marcel has scored points in 4, 13, 2, 16, 18.

How is Marian not >>>>>>> over Marcel?

There's no real argument...Marion is a star, Marcel isn't.

I am concerned about it, I'm a firm beliver in the fact the ex-players do damage, but I think the Rangers will overcome because we still have The King, Jagr, Shanny, and more importantly, Avey and Prucha Power!

Marcel will triumph in the battle of the Hossa.

It is his time.

Sorry... these Thrashers are barely over 500 in their last 12, posting a 7-4-1 record with 4 of those wins requiring extra innings. They also have some gaudy loses to Florida, Phili and Washington. I'll take Rangers in 6 or less. The Thrashers might look good on paper, but what they put on the ice doesn't fit the bill. Suspect defense and suspect goaltending = early tee-times. LET'S GO RANGERS!

Atlanta's defense is a huge question mark IMO...if we are constantly pressuring them in the offensive zone, we can really do some damage.

They've made some strong moves at the deadline, but if there's one team we can take in a 7-game series, it's the Atlanta Thrashers.

The Thrashers are not much over .500 in the past 12 games... posting a 7-4-1 record with 4 of those wins demanding OT. In those games, there are some gaudy loses to Phili, Florida and most recently, Washington. I think their D is suspect and their goalie can be had. I say Rangers in 6. LET'S GO RANGERS!

I think some of you are placing way too much weight on Marcel Hossa. It's just too hard to forget that the first half of the season he was almost invisible. I really do hope he comes back and will instantly start contributing, but it's not guaranteed at all. I still think it's a win-win situation though, because my prediction is Isbister is going to leave us frustrated game after game like he does now. He's been a good substitute but it's about time he goes.

As long as we can keep Hossa and Kovalchuk from popping off (ie STAY OUT OF THE PENALTY BOX) I really like the Rangers chances in this series.

A) I think most of it is done in jest, you gotta admit it's fun! Or maybe it isn't for you, but I think it would be freakin' awesome if Marcel owns this series.

B) I liked Hossa even in the first half of the season, and during the whole of last season. I think he doesn't get enough credit for what he did in the role he was assigned, and it seems he was starting to blossom once given the chance on the top line.

C) Isbister can do what Hossa does defensively and presence wise, but he cannot score like Hossa, not even sparsely.

D) Diversion my friend, keep'em enthralled with Marcel Hossa while Jagr, Shanahan, Nylander, Straka, Avery and Prucha work some magic.
