Ah that's probably it.

Meanwhile Hamrlik is ruining my chance of winning our Fantasy league. He's got a +2 despite the Avs scoring 5 goals. With Stastny's PPP, that would have given me the win, but if Hamrlik ends up with a +2 that will lose me points in another category.

Heaven forbid we actually start finishing our checks now on your players after that totally unnecessary hit by Phaneuf. The Avs haven't been finishing any checks, obviously since your guys are going to the playoffs, and no one wants to get hurt, but Calgary has been finishing theirs, especially Phaneuf. If I were Q now, I'd tell the team to start throwing your wait around, if that's how they want to play in a game that means, much less to us if someone gets hurt. Phaneuf getting his ass kicked by a much smaller dude was fun to see though.

That Sakic is amazing. Did you see him block that slapshot there? Three minutes left in a meaningless game at the very end of the season, and Joe Sakic - the 100-point guy, the future Hall-of-Famer, the guy with the least to prove on the ice - is blocking slapshots.

And we tie the Predators for the most goals in the Western Conference at 272 on the season.

That's insane...highest scoring team and we miss the playoffs. Imagine if we'd been able to stop some...

And THANK YOU Lappy for dropping the gloves with Phaneuf. It seems like the guy has had free reign on us all season with no one stepping up.

Sakic continues to amaze. 100 points at age 37 and dominating games night in and night out.

He's officially a freak of nature.

Not to be lost in Joe Sakic getting 100 pts (which of course deserves the notice it's getting) is Andrew Brunette putting up better than a point per game (83 pts in 82 games). Lacroix sure made some bad moves in his final year as GM, but he really hit this one out of the park.

Stastny finishing with 78 points, three fewer then that Tanguay guy

I said at the beginning of the season that I felt Arnason and Wolski would replace Tanguay's numbers. I never thought that Paul Stastny would do that almost by himself. What a phenominal season.

And is superb at both ends of the ice, and on the PK, etc.... in his first year.

I love Stastny...but I don't know if he's capable of playing a much better offensive game. His game is built on playing smart. How much smarter can a player become? He's already played brilliantly.
