Kirill Kolsov offers

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p...id%5B%5D=59066

24 year old defenseman with a ton of offensive potential. excellant skater, and during the last 2 years has improved his defensive game to the point where he is the best d-man in the RSL. with bieksa mitchell ohlund salo as a top 4 and krajicek and sopel as 5,6 and rory as 7 with edler rahimi bourdon coming up we can deal him.
former 2nd round pick.
what vancouver needs is RW's with a RHS
fire away

Sopel is a ufa and is unlikely to be resigned now that Salo is signed long term.

Krajicek is an rfa who could be moved if need be.

Koltsov has no trade value, he has more questions than Jeopardy has answers. Undersized, questionable personality, mediocre at best defence, may never play in North America.

Rahimi is still a good few years away.

If the Canucks move a defenceman, Krajicek, Edler and Bourdon are more likely. They aren't necissary to the team, but have actual trade value.

sopel stated after being re-aquired at the deadline that he loves it here, never wanted to leave, would take a discount to stay. and has played very good, and i stil think its likely he will be resigned.
koltsov's personality ? whats wrong with it ? and has stated over and over that he wants to play in the nhl. and his mediocre defense has gotten better since returning to russia. i would still think his value is = to or higher then denis grebeshkov (bergeron and a 3rd for him)

Stating and doing are not one and the same. He had conflicts with coaches before and got cold feet/home sickness last time he was here.

I don't think he has a bad personality, just that it is a question mark.

I saw both and i can tell you that Koltsov can play in some NHL teams in first line, not in defence, in attack.

I agree

Koltsov is a forward in head, somehow playing defence

you mean after they cancelled the nhl season and he knew he had no chance to play in the nhl, and then the team gave him permision to leave. seeing as he had a very ill or dying mother. thats what i was told, not cold feet or homesick

I've heard a couple answers, none of them well backed up.

Questionable if he'll ever play in the NHL first due to ability, second due to attitude, thirdly due to nationality (been some problems getting good players out of the RSL recently). 3rd rounder at best I'd say.

I'd give up a conditional pick for him. Conditional on whether he signs and whether he makes the team. I'd go as high as a 2nd rounder or a pretty good prospect.

philly has old and slow D
I think they could use a player like Koltsov
conditional 2nd depending on if he comes over..if not then a 3rd or 4th

The way Sopel has played, he won't be resigned, unless he takes a ridiculous salary of under 1 million per year. Sopel has been pretty bad since acquired and is substantially worse then Krajicek. There is no way the Canucks trade Krajicek in favor of Sopel, unless the offer is too good to refuse.

Montreal could use him. What is Vancouver expecting anyways? A 2nd?

Koltsov was drafted five years ago and is 24 years old. But HF standards, that's an ancient prospect with very little hype or luster left. We'd be lucky to get a bag of pucks for him. As for him coming over, I'll believe it when I see it, I've heard that at least a half dozen times since he went back and nothing has happened those times so why would it now?

I think Vancouver would rather have a forward in return, preferrably a prospect as well.

we'll give you Francis Bouillon for free. Then just send him to the minors.
