Goran Bezina

After an awesome year with Geneve-Servette (13 goals, 20 assists, 41 games) and a championship win with salzburg where he wasn't far from being their best player, it's almost certain that he'll be in a nhl unifrom next season. He was proposed a two way contract with the san jose sharks last season but decided not to go. Do you guys think he'll be in the nhl next season?

Bezina is a good AHL player and that is it. I would be extremely shocked if he cracked an NHL lineup on a regular basis.

I think you are seriously overstating that it is almost certain that he will be in an NHL uniform next season, unless of course you mean that he will dress up as one for Halloween or a masquerade party.

Maybe if he learns how to skate and some basic stickhandling. Hockey is not limited to being big and shooting from the blueline.

Not on a one-way contract

I could see Bezina offered a one-way contract, but it would be an AHL one-way contract.

Have to agree with you. He was given a chance in Phoenix and looked out of place. He has a good shot but isn't quick enough for the NHL. I'm sure he has improved. Saw him on TV a couple of times in Europe but he's still a long shot at ever making it in the NHL. I would suggest he sticks to Swizerland where he seems to be doing very well.
