Food for thought: would the Isles be a better playoff team with Chris Simon in the lineup?? Just for fun I would say:

Without Chris Simon: Sabres in 5
With Chris Simon: Isles in 7

You're probably right--DP is really going to have to stand on his head. I will say that as the season went along the Sabres won less on defense and more on overwhelming their opponents rolling 4 pretty good lines. The Islanders will have to keep the scores down to have a chance. In any case I don't like sharing MSG with the Sabres--I'm sorry but it overrides my natural hatred for the Long islanders. They can blow up in the second round.

That was insane. I know that's obviously not all fans and it gives the ones that did it a bad name for everyone else, but that is just idiotic. I don't care how frustrated you are..why would you do something that could injure someone - maybe even your own players??

I was at a playoff game in 2002 when they played the Leafs and they did the same thing AFTER A WIN. I just don't understand it.

what a bunch of hypocrites...
some of them are still whining about how that goal that never happened against us was a "clear goal" while using a tiny angled image that shows absolutely NOTHING as proof and at the same time they say "oh but its inconclusive wether the puck crossed the line or not"
i hate the sabres but i hate the isles even more.. i hope theyll get humiliated in this series.

I wonder if Christie Brinkley threw her make-up bag out there.

Henry's brother

You know we were on a steak for a while having a bunch of lessers brothers on our team. But what do you guys think of for once completing a brother tandem? Joel has been pretty damn cluth for the stars in their series including tonight. He's like Marcel it seems, but a bit more amped for the big games. Would be interesting to see if he would elevate his game even more playing with Henrik. Wonder what his contract status is.

He's still on his entry contract. He'll be an RFA next summer I think.

Just my opinion but Joel is just as good as 5 other guys on the team and I think both brothers' level of play would go up (even if just a bit) if they fed off each other.

You know I bet on days where Henrik gives up like 5 goals I bet its really Joel playing cause Henrik is away on vacation with some hotties. This problem would escalate if Joel was on the rangers.

I wanted Joel here last season when I thought not much would have to been given up to get him. Not that he would cost a first or anything now, but he is a warrior who steps it up for the bigger games so he not go for close to free. And in MSG, all games are big...
