thinks it's the same kind of game but higher intensity and need to be aware not to take penalties. Says they're having fun.

"I shoulda been working on my breakaways"

biggest difference from playing in LA to NY-
Says Renney lets him play the way he wants to play. Plays his best hockey on the edge.

Says Jagr is a real passionate guy who embraces the playoff atmosphere. Enjoys playing with him.

Took some compliments from Brett Hull.

Avery is staying with them for now. So I'm sure you can hear more from him.

Nah... He likes Hull.. And rightfully so considering Hull seems like a guy he'd like.

They said Hull was cheering for him during the game yesterday. I don't see any hate.

He just seemed like he was looking at him funny and was trying to watch what he said when he addressed Hull. Probably just Avery being Avery lol

I think that was probably b/c before the interview Hull may have warned him to be careful about what he says if he ever wants a career on TV. It looked like he was thinking before speaking on every question. I thought he did really well and not like the 'embarassment' that a lot of weaker players call him.

That was the part that was most interesting/enlightening to me. Seems like Avery had a preconceived notion about Jagr that has since changed now that he plays with him.

the breakaway comment was a joke in response to one of the doofy commentators saying he was rumored to have been working on dumping the puck to get odd bounces off the boards

I think youtube is over worked today? It was there before, but now it's gone. It has 70 views so I am not going crazy (I can see it in my account but it wont play).

Maybe give it some time, it should reappear either by force or by will.

how big is the video file btw?

the reason i ask is because im going to just rip it from youtube and archive it on my computer for an avery tribute vid i plan on doing in the offseason (like i do with the rest of your avery vids abev ;-) ) but since youtube downsamples everything it makes it a lot grainier than i had hoped. do you still have all the source vids for your avery stuff?

I think most of the players & fans around the leauge had the preconceived notion about Jagr, I had a diffrent View of him until last season. The media tends to focus on or two things and thats it.

its also possible that it was true, and he has actually turned it around since becoming a Ranger....a place he has openly said before actually coming here would be his favorite place to play.
