The problem.......North QLD unlike Manly are not dirty Cheats. Manly - it was part of my upbringing never to cheer for that team (like the flyers pretty much).

I knew we were in trouble when Steve Matai stayed on the ground and milked that penalty early in the game and Manly got away with it for the rest of the game, unlike the Cowboys who get away with a lot less than most teams.

No, you're better off paying attention to to the remaining back row. David Pocock (7) and Radike Samo (he's a massive dude with an afro, can't miss him).
I honestly don't know why I left Pocock out since he's as good a natural 7 as there is in the world, but with Elsom I still remember him for his Leinster days rather than the time since (which I haven't seen a lot of sadly).

All England know how to do is play structured rugby so their gameplan will stay the same as it did in 2007 (and 2003 for that matter). Play for penalties and hope their kicking is on form. They lack creativity and initiative pretty much everywhere in the backs except for Foden and Youngs, the latter of which is usually considered 2nd choice because he isn't as good at playing the stuctured game like Simpson and Wiggelsworth despite being much better.

Nothing beats a whistle-happy Rugby referee who wants to be the center of attention.

And by nothing I mean everything.

No offense, but I take nothing you say seriously about anything to do with a game involving Australia.

If you're fine with penalties being awarded for playing the ball on your feet and tackling players .006 seconds after they dispatch the ball, while allowing players to fail to release the ball and play the ball in the ruck on their backs, then okie dokie.

No offense, but I take nothing you say about Rugby seriously at all. Not exaggerating either.

But yeah, who would be looking at the referee for this game more objectively? me who has no horse in this race, except for backing Australia -24.5 points, or you, the obviously biased Australian fan.

It's been made perfectly clear several times that the refs have been told to call things tightly, both teams were infringing all over the place, both teams were getting penalized for it. Take the green and gold glasses off players infringe, penalties get called, that's what the refs job is. That doesn't make him whistle happy, trying to be the center of attention, that makes him a referee in a game where the first half in particular was full of players infringing. Nothing worse than Rugby "fans" who whine about the ref blowing the whistle too much when he is doing it for legitimate reasons. Yeah he shuld just let dem go offsidez and who care if dey knok it on just play on stupid ref juzt wana be centa of atenshun. Hell if anything was wrong with the ref it's that he told them like 5 times that he was done talking but didn't have the balls to go to his pocket.

The only thing worse than the Turbos losing the home promotion final to Hawkes Bay was the guy sitting infront of me giving it to the ref every 5 seconds.

smh

lol forgot you were a Turbos guy so I forgot to rub it in how my Magpies took your boys out. Was one of the best games I have seen in a long time, not just because the Bay won, waaaaaay more exciting than the Cantabs/Waikato game. Plus my mate scored the first Magpies try

Don't think any refs get it worse than at Warriors games "they're ****ing offside you ****ing blind old ****ing stupid **** **** you ****ing wake up ****** ****" all game long lol.

At least it wasn't as bad as 2007's first game.

And the plus side is they can't get much worse right...

-------------------

Also the kicking from both teams in that game was amazingly bad, Wilkinson refused to blame anything but himself, but still for both teams to be so bad there has to be an outside factor involved.

Wales played an amazing game against South Africa today, the Springboks looked asleep until Hougaard came on. I still think Hook's penalty went through, we was robbed!

It's easy to say you were robbed, but the Welsh had a drop goal attempt and a penalty shot that could have won them the game.

It would have been good if Wales did beat those Dirty Springboks and the reaction from my mother's text messages if the Saffas did get done would have been funny...haha

The Wallabies win yesterday is good enough. As a family friend said - never give a fly-half a whistle.

Ireland missed 14 points worth of kicks against the U.S. as well. If they stand a hope in hell of beating Australia to get the "easy" matchup against the Group D runner up they've got to play and kick a whole lot better than they did against the Eagles.

Too much Munster play, not enough Leinster. If you're going to play the structured, forward oriented game then go with O'Gara from the beginning. I'd rather see Ireland play the more open style that Sexton can run, but let him run it. The number of times they had the chance for quick ball but instead waited for three forwards to get in position for a slow hit up was frustrating as hell.

And after seeing what the Kiwis playing for Japan were able to do, I doubt Canada will be able to beat them. But I'm still hoping they could 'win' their own world cup by coming in third in Group A.

Ireland did miss a bunch of points, but I'm happy the U.S. is improving in play against one of the better nations. I expected Ireland to score nearly 40 points. Hooray for improvement!

I don't Know much about Rugby, but Love watching the Sport. I cant Watch the Matches due to Time difference, and for the Most Part they aren't televised here. Does anyone know if there is a possibility to watch Full replays or highlights of the games? I tried the World cup's website, but when I try to Open a Video it always says that the service "is temporaliby unavailable".

Hate when teams show up to play the All Blacks but play like crap against teams they can actually beat.

Canada actually played really well though, deserved the win.

Tonga has never beaten Canada in World Cup play.

That said it was a good match between two fairly evenly matched teams. Most entertaining match of the tournament so far. Lots of heart shown by Canada in the second half.

This may be a bit of a stretch. I'm sure for a Canadian it was the most entertaining however.

Damn nice win. After the crap 'play on' calls for the trip and spear I'm glad Canada was able to keep their heads and fight back. Kleeberger and Carpenter really stepped it up after O'Toole went out. Bring on the French!

As far as a closely contended game, there really hasnt been another like it yet. The Wales vs South Africa was pretty close I guess IIRC, but really nothing else. There is no stretching involved.
