Just got back a bit ago...

a few comments:

First, the crowd was lowd. But the Garden atmosphere ain't what it used to be. 10+ years ago there was a different crowd. That was then...

I can't say one thing bad about the Rangers. They played a flawless game. The Thrashers either are tired, or had a different game plan. They didn't play aggresive and weren't hitting everything in sight. As such, this one wasn't even close.

Great to see Cally get two goals. That felt good.

Great to see Lundqvist get the shutout. That felt better.

One comment regarding Jagr's line - didn't notice Hossa today, yet the line was still quite productive. In fact, I haven't noticed Hossa much these playoffs. Could be because he's injured, but in any event, Jagr and Nylander, when on, can carry anybody.

Looking forward to tomorrow. Would love to see a sweep. It's in the cards. The Thrashers can't be any more frustrated and the Rangers can't have any more confidence.

Got back from the game. THE GARDEN WAS ROCKING. Gotta love the Tomahawk Chop thing the fans did at the end of the game. TOO FUNNY

Anyway, from the drop of the puck the Rangers were flying. Jagr played incredible. Seemed like the Thrashers d was made up of a bunch of guys all named D. Hatcher. Jagr was skating around them like they were a bunch of pylons. I was sitting in 200's but behind the net (side Rangers defended twice) and you could just see that the Thrashers couldn't keep up with the Rangers. Way too much speed and skill and its killing the Atlanta d. JJ is looking as good as I've ever seen him in a Rangers uniform. Absolutely sick!!! The whole team played almost a perfect game. Can't ask for anything more!!

Amyway its gonna be real tough for Atlanta to come out tomorrow nite with any passion. They were absolutely owned tonite!!

Kudos for saying it as it is. Not in TSN's best interest to ignore our boys. When the NYR do well the NHL does well, it's a simple fact!

I would have preferred you guys in the arena hold off that one until tomorrow night when we were about to win, personally.

I loved the chop. I could have done without the Na Na Na Na chant.

I was at the Yankees game tonight...and while I was there, I wore my Rangers stuff, listened to the game on my walkman...my heart was at MSG.

Before the game I went over to Times Square and saw Bobby Granger and The Naked Cowboy and got a free team picture and rally towel.

I haven't read through all 910 posts so far...but all I have to say is:

Wow.

And I have a ticket to Game 4.

Holy ****.

Of course I'm not taking this for granted...my last team to have a 3-0 lead? I'll let you take a guess...hint: it was 2004 So I don't get ahead of myself ever again.

But I am so damn excited I can't even put it into words.

Anyone one else cringe with Richter flashbacks when Henke heads the puck into the corner on purpose?

Did they show Ranger score updates on the big screen at the Stadium? And if so, what was the crowd reaction like?

After awhile it seemed like the Rangers were toying with them... Kinda scary... A little too arrogant for my liking though (especially the Lundqvist headers)

Just had to add my congratulations to the Rangers on a fine win and a shutout for Lundqvist, naturally you expect the Thrashers to come in full force tomorrow to avoid a sweep but I hope the Rangers will wrap it up.

Here's to another Avery goal on Hedberg off the boards.

Maybe some of Lundqvist's critics would start to understand he miraculously plays a whole lot better when not injured?

PS: Marcel 2 - 0 Marian, there can be only one!

No and I was rather annoyed at that. There wasn't a huge crowd at all for the game (announced of about 38,000 but it was more like 15,000) and I must have counted at least 50 people wearing Rangers stuff though...and there were a few "Lets go Rangers" and "Great game" chatter after the game.

I only watched the first period since I had to get up early today. After a great first I was hoping they would keep playing like they had. Talk about great news when you see the score in the morning!

I got a parking ticket, my car got towed, and I just got home 15 minutes ago, but for some strange reason it was all worth it. I want to die in the Garden right after they win a cup.

Man you would miss the draft, the UFA period, the training camp.

You think so.I saw way too many people at the game last night who weren't even born when the Rangers won the Cup and they were chanting "We want the cup"
