Gameday thread: Jackets @ Wild, Dec. 20

Wild 13-14-6
Jackets 8-15-4-3

I think the Wild can win this one. Rick Nash has pretty well been all their offence this season. I'm sure Lemaire can find a way to stop him. 3-1 Wild, goals by Kuba, Dowd and Gaborik.

I think Roloson started every game against Columbus last year. I'd say there's a good chance he starts tonight.

We always have a tough game against the Jackets.. could this be their first road win of the season? I'm guessing no. It'll be a 4-2 win for the Wild.

I just woke up and in my dream Fernandez let in 3 goals on 3 shots.
But then he settled in and at the end of the 1st we were down 3 to 2.
No prediction for this one.

I thought Manny was in net last season when the Jackets scored 5 in the first period? Ah...memories.

Anyway, Jackets always play the Wild tough, and maybe someone other than Nash can try to score. Doubtful. 1-1 tie.

5-2.. couple of nice goals in there. Let's hope the non-losses keep rolling for a while.

The new Chouinard looked OK. Lemaire said in the post-game that he thought Eric needed to get into better shape before we got a good look at his skills. He sounded pleased with what he saw, though. I saw a couple of moves that looked pretty good.
Wanvig was fun to watch, apart from that second goal. Knowing how important defense is to the staff, I think he's going to need to get tighter if he wants to stick around for a while.
No new defensemen to report on... bummer. Although Henry made a really nice move to generate a scoring chance.. best I've seen him with the puck, I think. Zyuzin's goal was a nice one... Sure would be fun if he started turning into that guy he was projected to turn into. Zholtok looked like last year's Zholtok. Gabby had a little fire in him. I think that's a good sign.
Oh, and how could I forget Moose?!? He's f'ing great! I think if he could get better hands, he and Bruno would make a wonderful pair. I really have fun watching them work around the net.

Lemaire quote about putting the new Chouinard in right away:

"We have sticks, and there's one puck, and you have to pass it around," Lemaire said. "There's a net on that end in which we try to score, and there's a net in our end in which we try to keep the puck away. The game doesn't change."

Both reassigned to Houston.
