How about Henke's outlet passes tonight? I thought he did a great job getting the puck down the ice tonight.

Btw what is it with both ATL announcers and the ny ones being so amazed all series that Hedberg and Lundqvist never met? I'm pretty sure sweden is big enough that 2 people might sometimes never meet, that and henrik was like 14 when hedberg stopped playing in swedish leagues lol.
anyone know John from New York? or David? how about Sarah? or Dave?

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!

Wow what a series, i truly did not think the Rangers would sweep. I thought they could, but i didnt think it would happen with all the fire power Atlanta has.

So nice for the fans though, 10 years we waited 10 years.

SWEEP baby!!!:

Congrats! You guys earned this sweep. I'd wish you luck, but it wouldn't be sincere.

Every Thrasher fan whose post I've seen tonight has been super classy. Thanks, guys and/or gals.

I predicted that this team would lose in the finals (because I didn't want to TOTALLY jinx them) and I stand by it.

Of course, I see that as only one of many long-term deep playoff runs over the next decade (especially given the deep talent pool extending down to 17-year-olds).

What a great game tonight.

This is very hard-working, business-like team. They are doing the things that we have always wanted from our team. Work hard, keep playing hard even when you are down, and just keep playing smart hockey.

Just very satisfying to see this team take care of business. I honestly don't know how far we can go, but this team has earned a ton of respect from me and I assume everyone else.

Garden crowd was awesome tonight. Classy even.

Garden was rocking again tonite. Atlanta came out skating hard and made the Rangers really work to win this one. The Cullen goal happened right in front of us so everyone in my section knew it was in. Somehow though we figured that Buttman's new NHL would find a way to screw us. Thank god they got the call right. Great, great effort by the Rangers. They can now enjoy a couple days off and start getting ready for either Buffalo or the Sens. Should be another great series!

Completly agree. It has been a LOOOONG time. We were stiil debating at Rivals when the last series win occured. This was a long time coming. Feels great. As far as the board is concerned, it no longer matters who thought what of whom. All that matters is that we are in the 2nd round.

Congrats to all those that have been around these parts for the dark days. All the fans that have give a great name to the NYR fans. From Cambell, Muckler, Low and Trottier, this was a long time coming for Rangers fans

And the great thing is that the best of the Rangers prospects are not with the big club yet.

One other thing, Jagr has been playing great. No denying it. However, Shanny has proved himself more than capable of playing for a good long time yet.

Thats the best part of whats happening here. Win or lose in the next round this team is going to be much, much better next season and has the pieces to really go far. This organization has finally put it all together and the future looks brighter than it has for many, many years. As much as it pains me to say it -- Sather has done a phenomenal job!!!

Yeah, I really like the leadership on this team...Jagr leads by example, but, Shanny's got the emotional pulse of this team. While their were constant battles over the Shanny vs. Jagr camps for team leader, I think Joe M pointed out that the two of them made it work in the end. For an old man who's supposedly "done", Shanny gets a GWer in Game 2, and the game-tying goal in the clincher. I think the guy has something left.

And, oh, yeah...congrats to all the fellow travelers from Rivals and its transmutations along the way, plus the likes SBOB and JF (Fletch) from Slam!. This has been a LOOOOONG time coming.
