[ALL] transactions-thread - summer 2007

put in here any transaction you find interesting that has to do with the leagues this board is responsible for. a transfer, a contract extension, a junior who is getting pro, no matter what...as long as you may find it important enough to share with others, here's the thread.

and don't forget to talk about it.

Yes, it is a sidenote, but why would they report it, if it weren't true ? It's not like they make up BILD-like rumors.

i have no clue. could be a rumor someone took for official. wouldn't be the first time.

nathan robinson is reported to go from mannheim to berlin, but this is not official yet. some newspapers out of the mannheim area are reporting it, but it's still something we can at least doubt.

Kevin Baker (Texas Wildcatters) -> Schwenninger Wild Wings
Olivier Proulx (Texas Wildcatters) -> Schwenninger Wild Wings

Martin Jiranek retires from pro-hockey, becomes junior coach and will dress for the 'Bayernliga'-Team in Nürnberg in games.

Rumor:
Although Pelletier has signed with Hamburg, there´s a rumor Mannheim and Hamburg might swap goalies (if Hausers signs/is signed). That´d mean that Pelletier stays in Mannheim and Hauser heads to Hamburg. That´s a rumor coming from a 'better source'...

from what i know, cologne will need two new goalies. so he's one of them. honestly, i think he's not that kind of goalie calibre they want or need though they might try to sign a proven canadian or so. but horneber as austrian also block one spot for foreigners and i don't think that cologne might spend two spots for foreigners on their goalies. a german backup would fit much better.

this signing is kind of confusing to me. fan.at, does horneber has a german passport as well?

Horneber has a German passport and he will be the backup for the new numbe rone.Rumour was, that cologne was interetes in Daniel hendrikkson, but he will probably sign in Russia.Horneber was a big suprise in the 2nd tier this year, because he played very well after Landshut's number 1 got injured.

or stuttgart!

but they'd have to get some new players then. because in stuttgart they would need success to establish a new team. maybe these signing are a sign that duisburg stays for one more year in the DEL.

the duisburg owner said a few weeks ago, that he will lower the total amount of salaries, so it's not wonder that they sign such mediocre players. duisburg will be dead last, that's for sure.

Lower salaries from last season? They will be lucky to sign "mediocre" players.

Nathan Robinson - Mannheim (DEL) -> Berlin (DEL)
Sebastian Stefaniszin - Berlin (DEL/OL) -> Iserlohn (DEL)

Both sounds good. Robinson fits well into Berlin's system and Stefaniszin leaving helps to solve the problem of too many young German goalies that battle for one spot on the team...

Seems a bit weird that Nürnberg is going with two rather young German goaltenders after the run they just had.

I would have liked to see Stefaniszin in Hamburg again. The Freezers still need a backup and he definately fits the bill of a good, young German goalie.
