Is Samsonov 100% gone next season?

Do you guys think that Gainey will buy out Samsonov's contract for sure next season?

I know he said he regrets signing here and stuff but i still think he can bounce back next season(with Kovy). I dont like the fact that the team will waste over 2 millions for nothin'. Habs needed a center so bad last year but Plekanec was still learning at the beginning of last season, so Samsonov and Kovalev didnt do ****. Now that we know Gainey will probably add more depth in center for next year, it could help the wingers including Samsonov and Kovalev.

Unlike Kovalev, Samsonov work quite hard in every games but where he sucked was on the score sheet. I still think he could still be useful for this team.

Thats just my opinion, most of you wont agree with me but what i really want to know is that if Samsonov played his last game with the Habs?

I don't believe in anything being 100%. But it would be a major shocker to me if Samsonov ever played for us again. 99.9% gone, I'd say.

for the 10000000000000000000th time...YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when a gm like bob gainey talks about trading a player or buying out his contract that means he doesnt want that player around his team no more...

whats so hard to understand? i dont know how i see some people around here thinkn samsonov will be back or i see him in their projecteed lineups for next year

No; i think he will remain with the Habs because no one wants him and they will yet 'gamble' again on him having a better season!

We lost Perezhogin and we could possibly lose Bonk and Johnson up front. If this is the case, we're going to head into the Free Agency period with one pile of forwards with one year or less experience. I'd bet a lot of money against Samsonov returning but I'll never say never.

Unless he shows up and camp and delivers one hell of an apology and with a new attidude I believe he is done. Also to even get to camp he will have to have one hell of a talk with Gainey and Carbonneau.

no

BG does not want to look like a fool.
Also he is known to be a real slow decision maker.
look it has been 3 years that he is evaluating the team

don't think he is a bad GM 9 (he is top 10), he is just not perfect

unless another team wants sammy he will start here.

btw as a proof of everything I said look at the 4th line player that we put on waivers ( already forgot his name... I tried real well and it worked) and yet the habs never sent him to minors to save the money yet they sent max to minors in the all star brake to save the money on mad max.

Lats - Laps - Begin

Ouch. Is this what they call a 3 line team? I guess it's cap friendly anyway.

My bet is that Jonhson came back with a pay cut.
Chipchura could take the third line center position and we could find someone to fill the two last spot (Murray is sign for this year also I think).

Sammy is gone in my opinion...

You just can't keep a player around with a bad attitude like that, regardless of whether or not he was working hard in the games. It was just an unfortunante signing, hopefully we can get something for him but it looks as though BG might have to buy him out.

Let's just chalk it up to a bad experience on both sides. Habs don't want Sammy back in that dressing room. Carbo has to start basically from the beginning and gain the trust and respect of those in his dressing room before this team can move forward. With Sammy there, it will be that much harder. Bye Bye Sergay Samsonov

Why? As much as they are both a pain in the arse Kovalev is the superior talent.

I agree. And only because buying him out would be worse then keeping him. Send him to Hamilton, put him on the 4th line. Sammy could be valuable for "some" players. (Clearly not Kovalev or Plekanec) but maybe on a line with Begin, Streit, Samsonov or something.

Streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeight. (Sorry I had to do that )

Maybe Carbonneau has the attitude. First it was ribs fault. Then it was Sammy. Now it is Kovy. SEE THE PATTERN! Did Sammy all of a sudden develop an attitude? Or did Gainey sign a player without doing his homework?

Ribs was traded before Carbo was head coach for 1 game so how can that be Carbo's fault?? Kovalev has always had attitude problems, they didn't magically appear when Carbo became the head coach. As far as Samsonov goes...sorry, you have a serious attitude problem if your asking to be traded in the 1st week of November. Maybe he didn't see eye to eye with Carbo but you don't hit eject after 5weeks with a new team regardless. Samsonov is a punk!
