Ray Ferrarro and Brett Hull can say all they want about Calgary's coach Jim Playfair, but the fact is he got his team into playoffs, they are going to 6 games maybe 7. Playfair is in his first NHL coaching job and comparied to last season as assistant he had to come in and comeup with system that he wants his players to play. Sure the Flames were terrible on the road but you cannot just blame Playfair the team also had to play the game and try to win. Playfair can only motivate his team so much and now it is up to the players to decide how much they want to win this series. If the Flames do pull an upset and beat the wings what is Ray Ferrarro and Brett Hulls reaction going to be that the Flames just got lucky or say Playfair is not a bad coach. I think not they will still think the Flames still suck and need another coach. Hope the Flames win
tonight big Flames Fan who will be wearing his Kipper jersey and Flames hat tonight. Go Flames Go

Either way, I think this series ends tomorrow night.

My prediction: 3-2 Detroit (OT).
GWG: Henrik Zetterberg

So what if the Flames lose to Detroit you have to be proud that a team that struggled on the road made it to the playoffs. If I had to pick for coach of the year it would be Playfair as he has never been head coach of an NHL team until this year he has gotten his team into the playoffs and since game 3 has been able to motivate his team to play their best. So they lost poorly in Game 5 five they still played their hardest. People think Playfair should be fired for a coach with more experience. Just look at the Panthers they made the playoffs once then never made the playoffs again. The decided they neeeded an experience coach and they still did not make the playoffs even with Luongo in net. So having an experience coach does not mean you have a better team. If you care about the Flames team you would talk about some of the positive things the Flames have done this year and if you can't quit posting on the Flames forum.

Honestly, I hate all these Oiler and Wings trolls coming to our boards.

Even Canuck fans haven't come to our boards yet, but you guys have.

So you have an Oilers color commentor, a player who has said he was glad he was traded from Calgary, and a guy who, in the same video clip that I think you are referring to, who uttered the remark "Canadian Pathetic People" and you're using that as support for your point of view? Forgive me for not agreeing with them.

A bit of a tangent, but I heard Clement with that CPP reference also. I couldn't believe he said that. Had he said "Colored Pathetic People" he'd be fired in 30 seconds, but blasting an entire country is ok? I've never had a gripe with him before, but that was just classless and wrong and NBC should probably sit him down for a week as punishment. I know I can't speak for all Americans, but I'm sorry for what he said and hope nobody thinks that any American other than idiots like Clement feel that way.

Of course, I'll still take friendly jabs at those loonies across the bridge in Windsor!

Where on earth did I say that. I fully expected McLennan to be suspended, and I was even hoping, for the Flames sake, that Playfair was suspended as well. However, if the McLennan doesn't make that bone-headed play, do you really think there would be all this Calgary is an embarrassment to the league and whatnot? Of course not.

However, unlike you, I do not need others like Ferarro and Hull formulating opinions for me. Just because they viewed what happened one way, doesn't mean I can have my own opinions about what happened. And this isn't one way or the other issue. So stop putting words into my mouth.

My prediction:

Wings 3
Flames 2

Datsyuk, Zetterberg, and Holmstrom with the goals.

Lombardi and Huselius for the Flames.

Send a message via AIM to Beetmaster General
kipper has made many more saves, most of them were great scoring chances, hasek has made maybe a couple huge saves this series while kipper has made plenty

if we traded goalies we probably wouldnt even get a goal
