It doesn't matter. You could put out a team of 10 year old kids and they would score on the Oilers penalty kill right now.

God bless us everyone!

Christmas comes early, 5 - 2 Oilers as this lineup inspires teamwork and commitment to win. PK and PP turn corner and even strength the 'Oil' get it done. Or so exclaims tiny timid??????

5-1 Nucks...if we're lucky, it will be 5-2....Nucks gets out of there PP slump and go's 3-5 on hte man advantage....As usual I'll predict, SAlo punches Betuzzi in the face.

Nice try. Salo isn't starting, Conklin is. Salo would have to punch Bertuzzi from the player's bench.

I'm not exactly sure which Bergeron you've been watching. Is this some new guy we've acquired? Because the one wearing #47 doesn't do anything of the sort. In fact we might actually get into the zone and set up the powerplay tonight thanks to him.

In a very real way this is the Oilers season, the next 10 days or so. I saw on SN at abouot 4:10 that MacT stopped practice to tell people to wake the hell up! They were apparently skating around in a daze, according to Cory Cross in a post practice interview during the same segment.

When you're the coach of a team that is on the brink of losing the season before the 40 game mark, and they're not listening to you, it's pretty much certain that you'll be somewhere warm come playoff time.

It's damn the torpedoes time for the Oil tonight, if that isn't reflected in their play, then the management has to start sending people out.

The Oilers are going to miss the playoffs with this bunch, they can miss the playoffs without them.

I'd pay to see that. He'd get kicked out, and probably suspended, but it would be worth it.

OYLer, you Dickens, you! Hope you're ghost of Xmas future is correct. I sense a lot of pessimism here today, so I too will predict an Oiler win, but only by a goal! (Hope Santa's listening. )

Looks like Georges wants to stay an Oiler...maybe this is one of the 10 great games he's good for a year.

Whoever mentioned Horcoff getting a penalty early in the first period was dead on.

At least it wasn't TOO dumb. Nice elbow in the chops of Mike Keane. Hate em...

Better than water skiing.

Well Oates is playing alot better. Certainly not Dvoraks best period of the season, but it is pretty hard to be down on Radek for a bad period after all the good ones he's had this season.

Yep I think it's the annual Laraque, "has it been 10 games?....time for me to try again" game face tonight. Lets hope he keeps playing this way for the next 2 periods.......and we don't have to wait until mid January to see it again.

Canucks look a bit sloppy. This game is still ripe for the taking......

Hey if you are going to take a penalty make sure some deserving player gets a little discouragement. Notice how hard the PK is working things ar looking good. I can't keep the computer going during the game because it fuzzes the TV so over and out!

Dammit, that didn't look that dangerous. 1-0 Canucks, Naslund scoring.

If that was Salo in net, we'd be getting the nails and the cross ready right now.

Oates looks like he has a bunch of jump tonight, a couple of decent chances already...almost scored on a pass from Hemsky.

That was on a powerplay, not sure what the units are yet, we've only had one.

Lines seem to be:

Smyth-York-Hemsky
Dvorak-Oates-Torres
Moreau-Horcoff-Isbister
???-Stoll-Laraque
