I think the ??? would be Chimera.

Yep, he went to the dressing room early in the game, haven't heard an update yet on him.

2-0 Canucks. Brutal giveaway by Cross.

Once again, Salo in net, the cross and the nails come out. We're placing too much blame on the goaltenders lately...

Exactly. Seems like the Oilers lose even when they don't give up any pp goals. The fact that they can't score any just adds to it.

2 periods in and I am wondering why the hell I bothered watching this game.

Goal 1 - Naslund scores 5-hole on Conklin. Conks really shoulda saved this one, nazzy always goes 5-hole. Conks wasn't ready and he knew it.

Goal 2 - nice one Cross. You'd get benched in the jungle for making a play like that.

Gotta mention the referree'ing here, absolutely brutal. Why was Torres penalized for a 100% legal check on Sedin? I guess the swede couldn't handle a good hit. Brutal call.

Second call on Torres, another brutal one. He gets tangled up with a Canuck and the Canuck goes down. Another one that boggles my mind.

On our PP Smyth gets hauled down going to the net - no call. Brilliant.

I'll try not to be too biased here, shoulda been a call on Moreau at the end on Bertuzzi, slashes him right on the wrist. The referree'ing in the NHL remains absolutely awful. It all depends on the circumstance and that really has to stop.

I am disgusted in this effort and detest being an Oilers fan in Vancouver right now..... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr *bloood boiling*

I've been missing all of the Oilers games due to work, and watching this one tonight I don't think I've missed much at all.

I personally don't think we're playing that poorly.. 2 really bad goals by Conklin though. Both were 100% saveable in my opinion..

Yup with Nashville winning and also having games in hand on the Oilers things are getting bad. Dallas is also getting their game back.

Looked to me like Torres got the elbow up on that one. We need a guy to go headhunting once in a while though, so I'm not too disappointed in that.

Looked to me like it was Chimera trying to pass the puck to a spot where Bergeron had been 2 seconds before

The fact of the matter is on any other team the head coach would be fired by now, him being at fault or not. Maybe this is Lowe's way of finding the last piece of the puzzle for post 2005, having his team choke the season away.

I am just so sick of this team. It's like watching people undergo rehab at a hospital. You cheer and pull for them, but at thesame time you feel sorry for them and know its gonna be a long road to recovery. It just hurts to watch.........

this is just sad....

changes... they are a-comin' ......... (Kevin???)

2 wins in 14 games?

We might not need to trade up to get Ovechkin.
