Ryan Howse & Evander Kane

I found out that Evander Kane is only 5'1...Has anyone seen him play? he played 8 regular season games for the Van-City Giants. In Major Midget he averaged 5 PIM a game so you know he plays with an edge.

Ive seen Ryan Howse play for the Cariboo Cougars and Im excited for the Chilliwack Bruins who will have this young gun in their starting lineup this September, anyone got any comments about these players? I think Howse will blossom into a WHL star very soon and has the skating ability and finish to do it, catch him at the RBC CUP this May.

evander kane has awesome speed hey has a good touch around the net and he plays with an edge. I believe it was against chilliwack when he gave one of there players a real nasty knee which saw him get a suspension for it and he plays the body. IMO he is going to be one hell of a WHL player the only probelm I could possibley see with him is his lack of size other than that look out.

I've seen him off the ice and he is about 5'10" to 6'0". I don't know where you heard 5'1 from. Anyways, he is a skilled and hard working forward who will have a very successful WHL career.

On the WHL website, and on hockeydb.com (And I mean EVANDER KANE)

Ryan "Full" Howse is 5'11, I cant wait to see him and his explosive speed all year in a Bruins jersey

and how come Evander Kane played 8 games for the Giants? underaged Junior players I thought cant play no more than 5 games in Major Junior and 5 games in Junior A unless exceptional player status

Kane is around 5'10, once your current season is over he can go and play fulltime in the WHL

I think Kane was also allowed to play more than the normal 5 games because of all the injuries on the Giants at the time.

I'm guessing hockeydb took the height directly from WHL.com.
But according to the Giants' site he's 5'11".

Yikes!!! 5'1" and 160, there must be elastic in his hockey pants.

Definetly a typo. The kid is close to 6' based on my sighting of him at Giants games.

Howse is supposed to be amazing and has looked good in limited action with the Bruins but he didn't have amazing numbers in mjr. midget this year.

Well Jordan Staal didnt have "amazing" numbers in the OHL when he was drafted (averaging a point a game) but he still came out and could win the Calder Trophy as a 18 year old. Points dont mean much its Ryan "Full" Howse time
