For the record I would cheer for the Canucks vs ANY other team in ANY situation.

Atleast I don't have Joe Sakic in my avatar and Go Canucks Go in my title.

Maybe people should throw dookie at you.

Edit: The jester smilie represents a person who in the middle ages, entertained with jokes, for the king. Hence this is not serious, and I know JoeSakic.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with giving the best player in the NHL and the best team in the NHL their props at the same time.

At least I don't have the league's worst defenceman in my name, he's more of an unofficial mascot than an actual player.

After laughing at the immaturity, I sensed some envy. He should have atleast make a somewhat witty comeback.

I can't understand the people who have a problem with the Leafs new "Group Hug"! Which is basically all the Leaf bashers.

When the team is losing, we're just a big joke:
"The players have tuned out Quinn!"
"The geriatrics can't handle it"
"The defense sucks!"
"1967,1967,1967,1967,1967,!"
"Sundin sucks, he has no heart!"
"Kill Tucker"
"Belfour must have been drunk last game"
ETC!

Now that we're winning, and showing great team efforts, game in-game out, why the hell do you have to pick on something such as this?! Toronto is showing great team unity and a real confidence in the coaches and each other. So what is the problem with the post game celebrations? They're not classless, they're not going out of line, so what the hell is the problem? Are you just jealous?
Someone please explain this to me, cause it pisses me off! And please only respond if your going to do it maturely.

*sigh* How many times do I have to say the same thing. How many times do we have to explain it. It looks goofy. It is not an insult. The Leafs are playing amazing, they are doing everything right. I don't care. The celebration looks funny. Big deal. Stop being so paranoid, thinking everyone is Leaf bashing.

Are you serious You must not have followed the Leafs much. This guy over the years has been nothing but first class with the media and fans, which is 10x more than the fans and media deserve. Cocky? Why? Cause he stuck his toungue out after scoring a few goals, LAST YEAR?

Um OK. That is so unfounded it's almost laughable. Where would you even get an idea like that? Obviously you have missed out on the praise Tucker has recieved for his behavior. (Pierre MacGuire, theStar, etc)

You being a Habs fan, I'd assume you've seen a few Cup victories. Come on. You don't need me to tell you why that is completely rediculous.

I wasn't referring to you, but those who are being rediculous about all this. And I don't think "everyone is Leaf bashing". I'm just talking to those who are.

ummmm nice rant (I guess). a little misplaced seeing as the one Flames fan in this thread is admitting the Leafs are playing excellent hockey right now

anyways the Flames have lost once in regulation in the last 15 games. Their opponents over that time include Vancouver twice, Colorado twice, Philadelphia , a number of other of playoff clubs and a win over.....you guessed it...the Toronto Maple Leafs

(before someone gets all excited I'm not claiming the Flames to be better than the leafs, just wondering which worthy opponent this guy wants us to play?)

I'm giving props out to the Leafs for their play of late and their ability to fight through injuries and their ability to make due with what they have. Quite frankly...they are the best team in hockey right now for all that I'm concerned because they are a bunch of run down verteran's who can fight through injuries and win games.

I think that they will run out of steam before the playoffs and will once again let the populace of Tranna down with an exit early in the playoffs and because they will be too infatuated with getting 1st place in the conference.

I'm glad that I'm not a Leaf fan...'nuff said. But it sucks to be a Sens fan right now as well. The only thing is that my Sens will get MUCH further in the playoffs than the beloved Blue & White because of talent, strength and vitality.
Where am I??? Geezus... never thought i'd hear anything remotely nice about the leafs coming out of you!!! I'm amazed... and your right!!!

I like this reply the best.

From now on we shall call the corny-little-group-huggy-jumpy-thingy the Leafs do: The RUSTLE.

i agree that it looked funny at first, but i have to say that i loved it.
i think it's great that the leafs are out there having fun and winning games. they worked hard, they survived the critics, and they're getting what they deserve.
they SHOULD be happy about it. wouldn't you be?
and no matter what they do, there's always going to be someone criticizing it, so i don't see why everyone's getting so worked up over it.

i met matt stajan on saturday, and i can assure you doesn't talk, look, or play like a girl.

also, none of the girls' volleyball teams that i have either played on or played with in the last 8 years have ever done that group bounce-y deal.

All I know is 20 years ago the Redskins had a group of wide receivers who celebrated in a similar circle action and were called the Fun Bunch and everybody thought it was good for the sport. But now look what football has, punk players pulling out cell phones after scoring touchdowns which is actually tame compared to all other celebrations that go on in the NFL. I'm not suggesting that the NHL will turn to this way I just don't know if it's worth the risk to cross that line and find out.

The great thing about hockey is the celebrations aren't over the top as they are in every sport now.

Oh grow up habs fans! I thought that the hug was cute.......... I loved it! If the habs had of won and did a big hug like that would you still consider it classless? Didn't think so.......
