That would be a signature, and not an ad.

Spoke to Jeff Pyle today. Here are some notes on how next year's team is coming together. Vigilante has been invited to Manitoba camp, but assuming they don't keep him, he'll be back. JMilam is a go (at forward), Sitko is a go. He's talking contracts with Jackson and York. Sounded like Thompson wasn't a priority.

Pyle seems like he is concerned about team toughness -- he kept mentioning guys as being ones who would or wouldn't fight. It struck me more afterwards, going over notes. I think he believes the 2006-07 team wasn't hard enough to play against.

Cam Brown has decided not to return to playing after all. He will remain in the same position next year, a non-traveling assistant coach.

Three guys he's probably bringing in: Dirk Southern, an NMU grad who played with Augusta last year, and St. Francis guys Stuart McRae and Ryan Walsh.

Ryan Walsh, RW

There were a couple other items which I'm saving for my next article. Stay tuned!

Random note: he's been talking to a lot of college coaches lately, and they all love Grant Lewis. (Not that he's destined for Gwinnett, Jeff just happened to mention it in passing).

Caveat: he may be unpaid, however, to avoid conflicts just in case.
