Frolov saw :48 secs of PP time last night and had one goal. Others saw as much (several others) as 2:30 of PP time for naught. Proving my point that the Germans love David Hasslehoff.

It took our losing Ziggy for Frolov to see more than 2mins of PP time in a single game. I would rather have him get less and put Ziggy back in the line up please.

Frolov had one point last night to go with his 18 mins of ice time. He gets the ice time, he gets the points. Of course, he still had some interesting line mates for the night but that will likely change now that Ziggy is out.

I am sure that Murray will call Camms back up. Maybe we will see Frolov Camms and Brownie pull some time together. Luc Army Straka/Frolov Camms Klatt/A dish of cream cheese Stumpel a puddle of urine/ Sim Avery Lappy. Intersting....

With Ziggy out and Straka gone for most of the second half of the game, Frolov saw 51 seconds of PP time. As many as did offencive powerhouse John Tripp. Not as many as Klatt, Army and Luc who were very effective but, that isn't really the point then.

There have been many games this season where Frolov deserved more PP time, but this last game against Columbus simply wasn't one of them. Frolov was placed on the second unit while the Kings had a total of two power plays.

On the first PP, the first unit came out and scored 41 seconds into the power play. So no Frolov on the first power play.

On the second PP, Frolov's unit starts the power play and fails to convert. The first unit goes back on and scores.

Frolov was given his PP time this game. The Kings simply only had 2 minutes and 32 seconds of PP time the whole game.

I suppose it is that Frolov has to go out with his unit. Frolov is significantly better than the players on his unit and deserves a better shot at the PP then he is getting. Last night is one game in a season full where he didn't get any real shot on the PP. So I agree, last night there weren't enough time on the PP to do much and the first line scored both times it were out there.

The thing is, Frolov, has always been the last option on forward for the PP. Tripp had as many seconds last night as Frolov and for that matter, there is always at least one "Tripp" like Player who either gets the same or more PP time than him.

All I feel is that, for a coach that preaches reward for effort, he sure seem to do just the opposite of that for Frolov. ATOI is under 16 mins a game until injuries set in and he plays on the "energy" line and always gives his all and puts up numbers in spite of the level of talent he is paired with.

This aside, it is now put up or shut up time for Andy and Frolov. He has to be one of the top options now that we are without Palffy,Allison,Deadmarsh,Straka. Shame it takes them going down for him to get his chance as it will certainly make it more difficult for him to score and provide his naysayers with ammo to say he isn't doing anything great. Pitty.

Hey, from a Penguins fan, i just have to say that Frolov is gonna be one of the next dominant Russian forwards in hockey, and help people forget about Mogilny. He's untouchable in my 5 year hockey pool.
