The Florida Panthers are very proud and pleased to select;

From the QMJHL - Quebec Rampart - Angelo Esposito

We feel he is the BPA at that spot with the potential to be a impact player. We see him has a LW more so than a center. We have the centers to support a talent like Esposito and with J.Martin we are confident he will reach his potential.

Jeffrey (carolina) is on the clock.

The Carolina Hurricanes are happy to select from NTDP USA defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk.

He's a higly skilled defenseman and fit perfectly the highly offensive hurricanes type of play. He also could play early in his career since the Canes are getting older on defense.

Montreal is now on the clock !

With the 12th overall selection in the 2007 NHL entry draft..The Montreal Canadiens are pleased and proud to select, from the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League..defenseman Jonathan Blum.

"Jonathan is a highly skilled right handed defenseman who we feel is not that far away from the NHL. We are very impressed with his mental toughness, which is a hige part of his game. He always remains calm and focused, like Andrei Markov. He is a very strong skater and can pass the puck very well."

No man, put it in reverse. Thats how it is actually done. Since Buffalo got the last first round pick, they get the first secound round pick, and so on.

yeah but then that would mean that some teams would get like 3 draft picks, while 3 or so teams wouldn't get any picks at all.

Unless I don't take those trades into account.

I would be quite upset with the Blum pick. I would want Hamill there.

I just figure people would complain because he's another "fairly small center"

Buddy, has about 6 hours left, then forfeits. What do we do in the event that someone misses their pick? I suggest you arbitrarily assign the highest rated prosepect left from one of the recognized scouting services, like ISS or CSB (both are on TSN's website). That way we save time by polling, and the person who missed their turn can't say that the player selected for them was done with an eye of giving them a lower caliber player than what was available.

Typical - it's playoff time and the Maple Leafs are nowhere to be found!

ughhhhh

I think I would have looked a little harder at Hamill, Sweatt or even McDonagh before Blum. (based only on what I have read...)

Ouch man, that's low. But even I laughed.

Anyways, methinks Hamill would be a good Leafs selection. He's who I have going to the Leafs in my mock draft back on the Leafs board. I think he'd be a good player to award us by default if brownman doesn't make the pick.

But this isn't my draft, so you guys can do what you choose.
