I think our only chance is the Rags.

All you have to do is play phisical on Jagr, and he'll start pouting. Soon as the pouting starts, Jagr stops.

The Sabres are too much. All 4 lines have great speed which will generate a lot of PP's.

I hope somehow the Rags push it to 7.

I want the Buffalo Sabres.

I think we match up well and I want to beat the best.

I hope the Sabres win today and we can start preparing for them.

I would prefer to play the Rangers, for the sole reason that the Sens would have home ice advantage.

I'm certainly hoping the Rangers win today's game so that the series goes 7 games and the team who comes out of that series is perhaps a little more worn down.

The logic in my head tells me the Rangers.

As a Red Sox fan in 2004 though, I wanted the Yankees because I knew the Red Sox would have to beat them at some point to win. Might be the same twist of fate for Ottawa.

I think Ottawa beats both teams regardless.

If the Sens get anywhere near solid goaltending from Emery and play close to their potential, they will send the Sabres golfing in 6 games.

Believe that

On paper - I'd like to play the Rangers.

My heart - I'd like to pound the Sabres. Beating them would shed lot's of critics who have been saying that the Sabres could just mail it in.

The way the Sabres have been playong lately.... seems they have lost someting in the mail.

Either way, Ottawa can take 'em.

Yeah, I'm very surprised that everyone on this board is not unanimously shouting 'Please let it be the Rags...oh please, NOT the Sabres'

Perhaps I have faith in the Sens and no team scares me.

This is a damn good Sens team, bring on the Sabres.

The Rangers will not be easy either. If they can beat the Sabres you can believe they are a damn good team.

Congrats on beating NJ... Your team couldn't have looked much better doing so.

Who me? I don't think I was even posting here last year but anyway...

Sens will defeat the Buffalinos if they get adequate tending.

I wasn't here last year, but I doubt too many people were saying the Sabres would be easy.

They still won't be. But this is a different Ottawa team. And anybody who doesn't see that isn't paying attention.

From an outsider, Sabres/Senators would be a lot more exciting.

A Sabres / Senators matchup in the ECFs will be epic with all of the bad blood. Definitely agree with the other dude who said it'd probably be better hockey than the finals.

Congrats on taking out the Devils so convincingly, by the way, Sens.

I want Ottawa to play the hardest teams on the way to a hopeful SCF. I wanted Jersey round 1 so that we could beat Brodeur. We drew Crosby for Round 1 instead, and quickly neutralized him. We drew Brodeur in Round 2, and then proceeded to beat that team much quicker than I thought. We are now ready for Buffalo. This is by far our strongest "team" that we've ever had in the playoffs.

I'm really hoping Buffalo wins today; not only will this be the most exciting series in the playoffs, but the animosity between the two fan bases will go through the roof. Our rivalry with them was peaking during the reg season, so playing them in the ECF could make this a playoff classic.

I also want revenge for last year. There's only 2 things that could please me more than us knocking Buffalo out in the ECF. This year it's "their" year, as it was "our" year last year. I say it's time for some revenge.

There's no way we get knocked out in 5 against them this year (crosses fingers). A series with them this year will be so much different than last year because our guys can play in front of our #1 goalie; and IF things should go wrong with Emery, I have confidence that Gerber can step in to put things right.

I hate Buffalo and their whiney fans & media. Beating them would be the next best thing to beating Toronto.

However, they are a damn good hockey team. They have 4 lines that can score and their speed down low would give our blueliners a lot of problems. I also think they'd have an edge in net and I'd favor them against us in a 7 game series.

I think we'd beat the Rangers in a similar style to how we beat the Devils - outplay them but have a difficult time beating Lundqvist.

But as they say, if you want to be the best you have to beat the best... so I say bring on Buffalo!!!

They are definantly the favorites going into any series in the East. Think about the confidence we'd have if we beat them. It's most likely gonna be Anaheim or Detroit in the SCF, and only by beating the best can we hang with these guys. Bring on Buffalo.

An Ottawa/Buffalo matchup in the ECF could kick off a Colorado/Detroit type of rivalry.

I hope their series goes 7 games.

I want the Sabres to win for my hockey pool, but I want NYR to win so I don't have to put up with those Sabre fans. It's a lose lose situation.

Honestly, I don't really care. At this point, whoever we play is gonna be tough but I think that with the way we're playing we can beat anyone.

I'd like home ice, but either way, I think we can take the Sabres or the Rangers.
