Yeah, R, W & B is such an overused coloring scheme I don't know why any team would want to go back to it. There are enough teams with those colors. Especially red. It's everywhere.

It's actually proven that teams that wear red win more. Red is the most intimidating color you can wear. They say you should wear the color in boardrooms and blah blah, blah. If you think about the theory is right, at least in Hockey. Devils, Wings are always near the top, the Canes' won the cup two years ago. Montreal, eh well they have a winning history anyway.

red catches the eye the best, so maybe you can pick up a team-mate quicker

3) When and why did the Rangers get rid of their 4th jersey, again I really liked and would want it back.

4) When did the Rangers add the laces atop their jerseys?

5) When did the Rangers get rid of "New York" diagnolly for "Rangers" of their road jerseys?

6) Has anybody heard rumors of their new jersey design, is it essentially the same thing just new fabric and shape?
I would like it if the road blue had "New York" instead of "Rangers" like the Yanks got.

2. I've heard that it has something to do with RBK having a hard time making all the new-style jerseys by the start of the season. If each team only has two, then that's a few less shirts they have to worry about mass-producing.

3. If you're referring to the white Liberty jersey, they only wore it one year (1998-99).

4. First year with the laces was 1997-98.

5. The last year with "NEW YORK" was 1986-87.

...and this is my first post on here, so hello everybody

Even though they didn't wear the same colored jersey it was confusing as hell because they each wear blue helmets and blue pants... after the 1st intermission the Habs were wearing white helmets to alleviate confusion which helped but it also looked horrible.
Are you sure it wasn't a Rangers-Wings game? There's a picture of Brendan Shanahan (on the Wings) playing against the Rangers in a book that I have, and both teams are wearing dark uniforms. And since they both wear red pants, the confusion would make sense...

Team front and shoulder crests (where applicable) are single layer screen printed tackle twill sewn directly to the jersey.

"Sizes for the authentic jersey will be: 46, 50, 52, 54, 56, and 60."

Weird, no 48? Guess I'll have to order a 46 and hope it's not too small. Anyone seen the authentic prices listed yet, with and without customizing?

That's for the 'premier', the authentic jerseys are: "team design lines and feature a four way stretch core body material with Bead Away, a water repellent treatment. Team Front and shoulder crests (where apllicable) feature a combination of direct stitched embroidery and twill applique."

Ranger Uniforms Next Year

Is there any word on what the Rangers uniforms are going to be?
Are they changing logos?

I read the Bruins are changing their's and since we are an orignal six, I'd hate to see us with an old dates jersey.

I'd really like the NHL to let teams use their third jersey or to have the Rangers adopt it as their regular.

OR why not go back to having the road jersey say "New York" across instead of "Rangers"

1) Why and when did the Rangers go from having it say "New York" to "Rangers."

2) Why did the Rangers get rid of their white statue of liberty jersey and when?

Thanks.

i hate the new jerseys, they look like football ones. The good thing is they still have the tie in the front.
1) maybe Rangers was more catchy, and shorter to spell
2) they already had a white road jersey, so maybe they wanted a different color

You may be too young to remember when the Rangers wore white at home. They flip the road/home colors periodically.

It was longer ago than that, wasn't it? Maybe she's young as a fan, and has only been following the NYR for a couple of years?
