Cool. He's a curious prospect and I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do.

Always nice to get a prospect signed but I don't expect him in Montreal before the end of this contract.

A friend of mine from Quebec compares him to E Desjardin at the same age? Does anyone else see similarities? I remember when Eric was drafted it was Yves Racine this and Yves Racine that but the Habs snagged a stalwart.

Congrats to him, also I was surprised to read that Cote is ready to come back, that doesn't sound right cause he was expected to be out up to 6 weeks, but the Dogs could really use him as they have used O'Byrne on the left side which is his off side.

Even if he doesn't play, which if Cote is ready then he won't, plus Gleed is with the team and has some AHL experience already so perhaps Lever would choose to go with Gleed over the unknown in Carle but you never know when injuries will hit. Can't wait to see Carle as a regular in Hamilton next year. We sorely need to develop more D prospects.

I don't see that, but maybe others will. I was a huge, huge fan of Desjardins, if Carle becomes half the defensemen that Desjardins was, then I would be thrilled as would management imo. Desjardins was underrated imo, and I think Carle has a ways to go to improve his defensive play before he could compare to Desjardins. But with Carle, you get a very good puck mover, good vision and he's improved his play in his own end, and will take the body, so he's got a lot of interesting tools.

Why are you so pro Perez? All he was was an attitude and an overrated 3rd liner. I think they are lucky to be clear of him

good to hear.

Full time player in Hamilton next season? Some time in the ECHL like Aubin?

He's a third round pick who only got better after being drafted.

If he does not crack Hamilton next year, that's a huge letdown for him / Montreal.

All I got to say is Gatineau reprezent! Last time we had a player from Gatineau play for the Habs was Denis Savard. Of course theres Claude Lemieux from Buckingham which is now part of Gatineau but still... it feels good to have a kid from my town on the team.

With O'byrne, Carle, Cote and Emelin/Valentenko likely coming over, what will the bulldogs defense look like? Who's going to be kept and who's going to be cut?

With a more experienced team and better talent next year, Price will likely be very well surrounded in Hamilton. That is, if the fans still want him .

Keep in mind, at least one of those names likely sticks with Montreal if Souray or Markov goes.

Also, at least two of them (Emelin/Valentenko) might not be in North America.

Hamilton will be scary next year. Grabovsky with a year under his belt, Sergei K. with experience dominating in N.A., Price as the full-time goalie with Desjardins seeing some games too, Aubin coming up from the ECHL, Carle coming, D'Agostini, Chipchura with another year under their belts. Watch out.

What about Stephane Richer who was/is from Ripon?
