Fair enough. When Mac left, I did feel it was the right thing to do. It wasn't my idea anyway.

I was watching an old tape from when Darren's contract was bought out. Holland said then that maybe someday D-Mac would be back in Detroit. If they bring him back it would be for sentimental reasons.

That being said, unfortunetly (sp)? there isn't any room anywhere in the Wings organization for Mac. If he's not on the ice what else would he do? I don't believe his high contract was the only reason he was let go. I believe there were other issues at work there. I loved Mac as well. I appreciate everything he did here in Detroit and there are some great memories. I wish him all the best and really hope things work out for him. But the time for Mac here in Detroit has past.

so he can retire a wing and thats that.. he wont play another second as a wing.. sorry guys
