Is anyone really all that sad...

that Lou's tactic of firing the coach didn't work? I mean I am sad for Jersey fans just as I would be most hockey fans when their team lost (not Det or Nash ). I thought it was mainly a "center-of-attention" ploy to take credit for "leading" the Devils to the Cup if it worked. I guess I am just really happy it backfired on him and hopefully nobody else will get the bright idea to try it in the future.

I definitely have to agree with you Blueski. It's not like Jersey was in any danger of not making the playoffs when it happened. It was a stupid move.

I have a bias against NJ so I'm pretty happy whenever they screw up.

I am a little happy about that too. There are good reasons to fire someone and then there are reasons due to ego. Screw Lou.

At this point, would you want to work there as a solid coach? I would be very leary of the organization.
