Official Game Thread-NYR-BOS

Boston stuggling, cant afford to move more and more below .500 I wasnt able to totally focus on the game Saturday, but it didnt seem like we played that bad. Need this one.

Wanna try these lines:

Rucinsky-Lindros-Kovalev
Simon-Holik-Barnaby
Hlavac-Nedved-Carter
D-Lac-Mess-Ortmeyer

Lindros deserves top line icetime. He played well with Kovalev for those 2 games or so they were toghter last week.

The B's were publically challenged by their front office yesterday.

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?ID=65208

I expect a desperate team that basically has no choice but to win this game. The Rangers better be ready.

Tom Poti has to have a great game. He might be playing against one of the teams he is being rumored too. I hope Bruins take Poti

Agree somewhat, but wild dogs would leave only the bones, picked clean..

The B's would leave Gill.. And maybe more..

Sather will likely go the dog route..

2-1 Rangers after one. Nedved and Holik providing the goals. Who won the fight?

3-1 Nedved gave Axelsson the old can opener and then scored.

3-2 Axelsson scores on a breakaway. I am not going to blame Dunham but if the Rangers have a prayer at making the playoffs he has to start coming up with the big saves again.

Holik puts it away!!!

Great effort, it felt like we shut them down, instead of hanging the hell on like last week againist the islanders.

Sounded good from here. Way to go Bobby! He gets my vote for Rangers MVP thus far, he's playing like the Holik I thought we were getting last year.

I think there was a solid effort and this team didnt quit, however there was one player that clearly had an awful game

kovalev must have had about 5 to 6 turnovers and passed on three 2 on 1's which were broken up

for once jd was right the team needs to work on shooting those 2 on 1 attempts

dunham had a strong game but got alot of help from leetch, mironov, malakhov and ortemeyer blocking a ton of shots

besides kovalev i was very happy with everyones play especially holik and lindros who both played hard

Spirited, entertaining game to watch. Two observations:

That kid Bergeron on Boston just keeps impressing and impressing.

The virtual-touch pass Lindros made on the blueline to spring Rucinsky on his breakaway was a thing of beauty. Plays like that are why I still watch this game religiously.
