Keeping 8, some tough calls...

The season is far off but I have to make these decisions now...
12 team head to head, typical categories.
Can keep 8, I have 4th pick in draft

Locks: Lundqvist, Turco

so 6 of these:
Datsyuk
Kopitar
Semin
Nash
Tanguay
Gaborik
Frolov
Dion Phaneuf
Ray whitney
Vyborny
T. Kaberle
I'm leaning towards Dats, Kope, Semin, Nash, Tanguay and Phaneuf

I'd probably take the best available goalie with the 4th pick.

Gotta keep Gaborik

I definitely agree with the post above about Gaborik. He could have a huge year. Nash/Tanguay is a toss up for me, but I went with Tanguay. Nash may have more potential, but Tanguay is a safer choice for solid production playing with Iginla. I just don't see how Nash can have a huge year when not much has changed personnel-wise in Columbus so far.

Also, I don't see any point to picking a goalie with the 4th overall pick when you already have a solid tandem.

the problem is Gaborik might get a splinter in his pinky and miss 50 games.

Ya he is worth it, he's scary haha.

Personally I traded Gaborik BUT only because I was after a draft pick and I got a really solid return on Gaborik, the deal was much sweeter with Brodeur and Gaborik together. I hear he's working out harder in Minnesota and being watched carefully in Slovakia when he does go, the Wild really want him firing on all cylinders.

Gaborik should be the #1 priority. He will play full seasons again, and this year is probably it.

Gaborik
Datsyuk
Semin
Kopitar
Nash - hard to leave Tanguay off of this
Phaneuf

I also would go with a non-goalie at #4. Great team BTW.

And i would'nt keep Turco, i would take Semin or Tanguay before Turco...

Thanks for the help, guys. Finally found someone to trade with,
gonna send him Nash and Frolov for a couple picks and keep:
Lundy, Turco, Kope, Semin, Datsyuk, Tanguay, Gaborik, Phaneuf.
